Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1957 Willys Jeep in real good original condition. This jeep has its original Willys F134 overhead value Hurricane 4 cyl 75hp engine, it does not smoke. 4×4, hi and low work all work. It has a fairly new soft top with full soft doors for side and rear. Tires are in excellent condition and are over sized 8ply. Everything works as it should for its age. Great jeep for farm or ranch but would also make great restoration project to take to next level. ”

“Here I have an extremely rare 1957 willys Jeep Forward Control FC-150 pickup for sale. It has an excellent running Hurricane F-134 inline 4 cyl engine that doesn’t smoke and always starts right up. It has a three speed T-90 transmission that shifts greats and holds gear and a Spicer 18 transfercase that also shifts great. The front and rear glass is perfect but the flat glass on the doors could use some help, upholstery is good. All the turn signals, headlamps, hi/low beams, heater and electronic functions work. It is in pretty good shape, drives and stops nicely but it could use some more TLC and attention. I want to continue the restoration but I have too many vehicles and just don’t have the time for it. I recently replaced the battery, starter, all old hoses, stainless steel brakelines and rewired the entire engine bay with correct automotive wire, automotive heat shrink connectors, chafing protection and gaffer tape. It needs new gears in the front axle for 4×4, a speedometer cable and some bodywork but it drives fine as is. 100% clean and clear Arizona title.

“Jeep is vitually mechanically perfect. Documentation for re-build on engine, new gaskets and seals through-out, new ring gear, rear main seal, starter, engine cluster, thermostat, side panels that were never installed and are like new, owners manual, shop manual. Older restoration that is in nice shape. Has original vacuum wiper and a hand wiper on the passenger side (as it was equipped originally). Has original size white-wall tires. this is a truly eye-catching vehicle.”
