About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“Selling a Jeep Willys CJ2A. As you can see from the pictures, it does not run. The motor does turn by hand and the transmission/transfer case seems to shift like it should. The body is mostly rusted. The grill is solid. With the Jeep comes 2 spare axles, 1 front with manual locking hubs and 1 rear. Also I have another steering box and quite a bit of other small parts. I believe it may be a 1948. Selling as is, no title. Text for any more information. Thanks. Asking $1000 OBO. Make me an offer.”
The Sierra Overdrive was designed to mount to a Dana 20.
In November of 1980, Pickup, Van & 4WD Magazine published this article on overdrives, which includes several I hadn’t heard about. This series of article images comes from Christian Harrison (and thanks to Marty Tilford for spotting it). The scans aren’t perfect, but are mostly readable. You can find a similar article at the Four Wheeler Network.
Particularly interesting to me is the Dana 20-mounted Sierra Overdrive. Willie Worthy of Four Wheeler was involved in the development of it, but noted that a lack of capital doomed it.
“Very rare Free-Lock hubs for a Willys Jeep. Only a handful of surviving sets known on the Jeep forums. These were taken off a running Jeep and appear to be working well. All parts needed to install are included.”
This is an interesting CJ-3B body. Either it is some strange aftermarket body or it’s an MB body that’s been modified with a higher cowl to mimic a CJ-3B body.
“1953 Willys CJ3B tub, fenders, hood, and grille. Sitting on later model CJ frame and running gear. Both have been narrowed to fit the tub width. Have Washington state title. $550 obo.”
It has a few updates, but looks good for the price.
“I have a 1955 willys jeep cj 4×4, Buick v6 231 oddfire w/3spd trans. Brand new seats, great hunting rig, hot rod, or wheeler…Registered and clean title! Possible trade for tractor, or 4×4 truck”
This jeep has some polish to it. The bumper looks unique (possibly a dealer add-on?) and the rims are old school. It may even have a stainless windshield.
“1958 WILLYS CJ 5 jeep. Shelby 289 v8. Warn winch, warn overdrive “awesome”, new top, nice tires, 8 track. Unmolested rig. A true survivor. Nevada rig. Always stored inside.”

The photo must have been taken before the fires (lots of smoke everywhere right now in the PNW!).
“Runs great. Will need clutch soon and an emergency breaking system (optional). Includes removable canvas top and doors . Wench mounted on front. Same owner for 40 yrs. Used on family ranch mainly. Located in Prairie City. Asking $4000. Please call or text Kendall at # listed above.”
This jeep is privately owned and 100% turn-key. Selling only because I have multiple project vehicles and no time to enjoy this one anymore. It’s a great weekend cruiser and gets lots of attention wherever it goes. Truly classic Korean War era jeep that would be a great addition to any collectors line up.
I purchased this jeep from a farm in upstate NY and was my fixer-upper project back in 2009. I have the clean title in-hand, exempt status, antique registered w/ period correct tag, recent oil change, new tires, and only needs a few minor repairs to make it perfect. I have put only 1,500 miles on it since purchased, no accidents, adult owned, garage kept, never seen rain or snow, never off-road, non-smoker and no dents or dings, 46k original miles on drive train. I start it every weekend and take it for a short ride to keep her running. Continue reading →
