Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “FOR SALE IS A 1945 WILLYS MB. IT HAS MANY NEW AND ORIGINAL PARTS. THE ENGINE IS AT 0.010 STOCK NO SLEEVES. IT RUNS PERFECTLY. IT HAS THE ORIGINAL T-84 TRANSMISSION. THE ENGINE IS WW2 AS WELL AS THE WHOLE DRIVE TRAIN. THE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, TRANSFER CASE, AND AXLES WERE REBUILT. THE JEEP HAS NEW PERIOD CORRECT WW2 WIRING. IT IS A FACTORY STOCK 6 VOLT.
IT HAS ALL NEW WW2 BEACH WOOD CANVAS UPHOLSTERY ON ALL SEATS. THE JEEP FINISHED RESTORATION IN DECEMBER 2013 AND TILL TODAY HAS ABOUT 1,000- 1,500 MILES IN IT. IT HAS PREFORMED FLAWLESS. IT HAS A CLEAR FLORIDA TITLE AND A VINTAGE STREET LEGAL 1945 PLATE. THE REASON WHY I’M SELLING IS BECAUSE I HAVE ANOTHER JEEP PROJECT AND OTHER VEHICLES I NEED TO LET GO. This is a very solid jeep with a 134 4 cylinder rebuilt engine that runs excellent NO LEAKS! (No paperwork on this rebuild)

Interior is in good shape, some tears on the seats, overall usual wear but no rust
The only real issue is there are minor seeps in the transmission.
Overall this is a very solid and ORIGINAL Jeep that starts right up. Brakes are good, 4×4 works great, all gauges work except for the speedometer so do not know the mileage. The paint is an older repaint but in good shape with typical wear, scratches and one dent below the drivers side door. The heater and windshield wiper works, The jeep is turn key for those tough mountain roads, cruising country roads or its ready for that pristine restore.”

(07/26/2014) Needs brake maintenance.
“I’m selling my 1947 Willy’s Jeep that is dressed up like an Army Jeep. This thing looks cool! I bought it from a guy last fall with the intention of using it for advertising, but I have to many cars again. The previous owner said that he pulled everything apart and rebuilt the engine, tranny, t-case, axles, and the body, then put her all back together and painted her army green. I added the stars and US markings just to dress it up a little. It needs the brakes serviced and bled, some seat covers, and a windshield. Personally, I would sell the M38 windshield frame and buy an old split windshield frame instead, but you can decide what you would like to do. As always, I am interested in trades. I love guns and military stuff, but am open to anything. I like old sports cars and muscle cars too.”
This must be move within 10 days after purchase. It doesn’t run and there is not title. Still, there seems to be value.
“This is an old Willys Jeep. I think it is a 1954 but not sure. I have tried to take good pictures so you can see everything.Has an aluminum top that is in very good shape. The windshield is cracked as in the picture. I got it to restore it but never did. The motor was froze up and I took the head off. I got it so it will turn over but turns hard. The weld on the step has broken. Speedometer says 25,304. I have included a pic of the tire tread. The brakes were froze up and stuck to the drums so you will need new brakes in the back and probably brake lines. The pics tell a lot so please look at them. The nice thing about these old jeeps is that they make a lot of parts for them.”
