This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “I am selling my 1957 Willys Jeep pick up. I have had it for several years and I cannot find the time to restore it to it’s original condition. The engine is a six cylinder Super Hurricane that runs and holds good oil pressure. It has a 6 volt electrical system, all of the light wiring needs to be replaced. The drive train works as it should although some of the linkages could use some grease.If this is something you are interested please make me a reasonable offer.”

“1951 Jeep Willys Project Buick V6 3 speed trans with warn overdrive. Motor needs to be rebuilt. Body is 100% straight. Has all interior but needs to be redone. Tail gate has been molded in. Definite project but great deal!”

Look solid, though diamond plating has been added in places.
“1948 WILLYS 4×4 4 cylinder 3 speed manual transmission. Jeep runs great.Body is in great shape. Has new brake lines,master cylinder and brakes. New water pump. New electric fuel pump new fuel lines and carb. New gauges that all work. All lights work. Has seat belts installed in front. Tires and rims are new less than 50 miles on them.Has a bikini top. I have the soft top frame and doors but not the soft top. This Willys is a fun jeep to drive draws a lot of attention were ever it goes.”

Sort of runs. Lots of diamond plating added. It’s missing knobs on the shift levers.

This appears to have a MB/GPW tub and running gear. It’s also got the custom angled dash found mostly in California.
“I have a 47 jeep that I got a while a go I like to sell or trade the jeep is been sitting for a few years but it’s got tons of potential seems to be the military type I’m not sure it’s got a V8 chevy engine on it that turns freely however I don’t know if it will run. It’s a project with surface rust at the very least.
“I’ve got a barn find 1947 (according to the S/N) Willis CJ-2A that needs a new home. It will need a full restoration or would be great for parts for that CJ you are building now. The 4cyl engine does turn over but will need a full rebuild, the transmission and transfer case are still in the vehicle and appear to work but I’m sure they need new seals and to be cleaned up. You will want to buy a new tub as this one is rusty. The hood, tailgate, front fenders and grill are all usable. I do not have a title, the former owner got it out of Louisiana and could not find the title when I bought it from him.
I have the seats, windshield frame and all the other parts to assemble the Jeep loaded on my trailer but not shown in the pictures below.
This is a project and will need a complete rebuild before it can go anywhere. Take a look at the pictures and see if you are ready to take this project on. If you are reading this, it is still for sale.”
Only has 136K miles! lol.
“This is an original 1948 Jeep CJ2a with only 136k original miles,….this jeep has not run since 1990 and needs a complete overhaul, the body has rust and repairs and the engine although not frozen hasn’t been started is 25 years…tires are dry rotted but hold air..the jeep is complete, all there including the windshield that the glass is cracked, but the frame is not bent, cracked or broken and has never been repaired…..clear Texas title,”
