Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “A real Hurst Jeepster. It is complete with title. I am the second owner. I have it apart right now to restore. Life has got in the way and I have bills that need my attention, Own one of only 300 know to still be around. Buick V-6 and turbo 400 trans. Hurst dual gate shifter, Tach in hood scope. All parts are in the Jeep.”
Bill shared this solid appearing CJ-5. It’s formerly from Colorado, but being auctioned by what looks to be a non-profit (that accepts donations). It starts, but stalls. It’s been updated to a V8 and a different transmission of some kind. The seller hasn’t confirmed whether there are DMV fees on this, so I would recommend contacting the DMV to see if you can determine if that’s the case.

“Up for auction is a 1965 Jeep CJ5 was just recently donated to a national charity and is now being sold at NO RESERVE. THIS VEHICLE IS LOCATED IN ORANGE, CALIFORNIA.
This CJ5 is equipped with an 8 cylinder engine and an manual transmission. Odometer is 5 digits and shows 6,087 miles. It appears to have all the standard equipment. The exterior is white in color and has black leather interior. Please see photos for more detailed description of its overall condition..

This (I think) is the Fall 1976 – Winter 1977 issue of Jeep News. It is 20 pages, plus a 2-page ad flyer. I see now that my camera-scans of this aren’t the best. My apologies.
Blaine shared this interesting image of possibly a postcard that promoted an FC-150 giveaway contest. Based on the info, I’d say this was part of the FC-150 launch in 1957.

“1953 Blue CJ3B currently has sbc under the hood. I believe it to a 327. I can’t confirm that because I’ve never run the numbers. I drove the cj onto my trailer when I originally bought it. I have a complete Hurricane ? for it. As you can see it is pretty much complete. I have clear Washington title in my name. In addition I have another nearly complete White Cj3b.
