About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
“I have a very cool and rare Jeep Willys Fleet Van for sale. These vehicles went into production in the sixties for the use by the USPS. The van was bought to fix up and then COVID. It did start and run, but it has been sitting for several months and does not start now. It has an airbag suspension system that works and raises and lowers the vehicle. This is van will turn heads everywhere you go. Just needs some love. Let me know if you have any questions.”
“ENDANGERED SPECIES, 1966 Jeep J3000 Gladiator 4spd 4X4 DUALLY!
All matching numbers engine and trans. Clear VA title from 1976. If you are a Jeep enthusiast, you have got to appreciate the Jeep Gladiators….Tough and Mean. This rare Gladiator is equipped with the original 327 Vigilante 4bbl, 4spd and 4WD. A true work horse. The truck was purchased by a Virginia Beach Fish Market in 1966 and special ordered as a Dually and with the airplane tire option during that era. The original tires are still on the truck with minimum wear.
The classic jeeps from the 60’s are becoming more and more hard to find especially ones that are not completely molested or rusted out.Do your research and you will find that this particular Gladiator is highly collectible and most are in private collections.
I have had this truck for a long time and need to get rolling on other projects. Took me years to find a decent Gladiator worth restoring. The last pic of the complete jeep is not my jeep, just an example.Thank you for looking at my auction!”

“I am selling a 1947 cj2a. It has a nice frame that is all painted. A high quality fiberglass body with tailgate (uncommon to find) the jeep has been swapped to a 225 buick oddfire v6. All new brake lines, upgraded to a duel circuit master. New starter, 4 barrel holly carb. This still need to be finished but is going to be a very nice jeep with only a little more work. The buick v6 is going to make this a great little jeep.”
(11/23/2020) “1949 jeep willy 4×4 , NOT MY VEHICLE, listing it for a friend that doesn’t have Facebook, for any questions call jeff [hidden information]has maintenance manuals, comes with framework to all canvas doors and roof, also a extra front end, extra tires and rims, comes with the hydraulic plow, not parting out, must take all, needs new fuel pump”
The April 27, 1944, article in the Star Tribune out of Minneapolis argues that Ford, GM, and Chrysler did not believe the post-war jeep would be as successful as hoped, due to (1) the hard suspension and (2) a lack of appeal to the “woman of the family”. It seems they were right to be wary from a family perspective, but the big three didn’t foresee the wagons, which attempted to address both of these issues.
