Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This 2A has some updates and has been militarized. The seller notes the jeep ran prior to the rebuild. So, it’s not clear to me if it currently runs?

Headlights are recessed into combat grill. Convoy light is mounted on fender. M1 Grand Rifle holder is mounted on the military split window. Pindle trailer hitch. Authentic WWII radio and mounted antenna (with case). Jerry can. Additional engine and electrical work required. Willy’s owners manual included.”

“For sale 1948 Willys Cj 2A
Have been working on restoring this Jeep for the past couple of months. Just had a baby and focus has shifted away from it. Someone can pick up where I left off. I’m pretty good with the cosmetics and have been doing a lot of the work myself. Sealed up on the dash where once was a radio. “Runs good, new tires 2 years ago, gas gauge doesn’t work, speedometer doesn’t work needs new cable, tear in passenger seat, just replaced universal joints, professional rebuilt starter and alternator. New fan belt. Driven weekly, starts good. Clear Maryland title.”

“Clean, road ready 1946 CJ2A. Previous owner did the following: newer seats, military tires, rebuild engine (date unknown), new fuel tank, carburetor, brakes, 12 v system. Has complete set of new gages that need to be installed. THIS JEEP IS A DRIVER AND A FUN ONE! Its not going to win you any trophies for best appearance. The body does not have any rust and the frame is solid. Someone did a lousy job using bondo on the hood but its still in good condition. My plan was to install an aftermarket MB / GPW body on it but a land purchase has changed all. Drives excellent.”
