About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .
(08/18/2020) This is a nice looking DJ-3A, though it does have a few restoration inaccuracies. It’s listed as a 1965, but the serial number indicates it is an April 1964 DJ-3A.
“1965 Jeep Kaiser 4×2 Green with gray interior Ready to enjoy Model DJ3A VARY RARE METICULOUSLY RESTORED”
(07/14/2020) With 3-on-the-tree and 2WD it sounds like a DJ-3A. The solid back suggests it may have been a convertible model; yet the body has cutout in the rear wells consistent with having been mounted on an MB/GPW. Has the correct hand brake, but incorrect gauges. Has the correct front end, but incorrect rear end. Has the correct 2/3 1/3 seats for a convertible model. Has the incorrect windshield.
“I have a 1949 Willies Jeep. It’s a army Jeep. I am looking for someone that will appreciate what it represents. AMERICA. Lol. I did have a title but am unable to locate at this time. I have extra parts and the original rear. It is a 3 on the tree,2wd, single barrel straight 4. It does run and I have driven around my yard. I am looking for a person that knows what a special find this is. Trust me I don’t want to post this for sale, but I want someone who can restore it back to glory.”
“1952 willys Jeep. Has 198 fireball/ dauntless v6 motor and a standard transmission with overdrive. I heard the overdrives were a rare find. Runs and drives but will need a carb cleaning and some fine tuning. Does not have seats. Title in hand. Serious inquires only please”
“Completely rebuilt, very clean and neat work, power steering, 4 wheel disc brakes, Chevy 327 with Angle milled vortec heads, steel roller rockers, Holley 650 Dual feed double pumper carb, Fuel regulator with gauge, Swing pedals, hydraulic clutch, center force clutch, Ford top loader 4 speed transmission, 2 stick Dana 20 transfer case, 44 rear differential with power lock, 30 front differential, 4.56 gears, aluminum radiator, electric fan, all new wiring, Autometer gauges, 6 point roll cage, RJS seatbelts, full top and Bimini top, C.B. Radio, tilt steering column, aluminum battery box, heater, less than 1000 miles on engine, runs strong. $14000.00”
This could be a good price. I can’t tell if it was a DJ-3A, CJ-3B or a CJ-5.
“59 Willys, aftermarket Tub, small block chevy, 3 speed manual with 18 case. D 41 rear, 27 front with disc brakes and upgraded linkage. Power steering swap. Runs and drives. Current registration, good until 2021. Pink slip in my name. Needs more work to drive and use offroad. CA ID Tag on dash matches paperwork. Some mis matched stuff. Good project. Dont ask if its available. If the add is up, it’s for sale. I’m in the Placerville area. 95667”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $2880. I messaged the seller and discussed the DJ aspect of this a little more with him.
This jeep sports an early DJ-3A convertible body and frame and serial number of “10393”. It also has the rear gas tank straps hanging down in back and the DJ-3A Convertible windshield with the finger twists across the top for the convertible top.
“Willys Jeep Cj3a with a dj3a tub I think. Runs and drives have videos, just ask. Starts right up, transfer case/ 4 wheel drive work. This Jeep takes up very little space and would be a great family/ individual project for this winter. Easy to work on and parts are not to expensive.”
“1945 Jeep Willys · Other_body_style · Driven 1,678 miles This antique army Jeep is a fun vehicle. Has been in parades. Registered as an antique auto. Top shade has been added for comfort. Runs well.”
