This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This 1971 photo shows Barney Goodwin in his 1963 DJ-3A. No doubt he was the coolest kid at his Houston, Texas, High School!
This is a relatively rare right-hand-drive DJ-3A with an even rarer automatic transmission (see 4th pic… shifter to the right of steering wheel). Unclear how much value is here, but certainly some parts value at the very least. It has an f-head.

“I had big plans for this cool little mail jeep but I have too many projects. It is a 1964 DJ3A dispatcher. They stopped making flat fender jeeps in 52 but they had so many parts left over they continue to make flat fender delivery vehicles into the mid 60s. It is very rare, I haven’t seen another one for sale. It does not run or drive, it is a project. I have a clean clear CA title in hand. The Jeep was last registered in 1985 so it is well out of the system.  any questions feel free to ask. Delivery available within reason.  i’m located in shingle Springs, Northern California”
Looks like a 1956 DJ-3A body on a CJ-5 chassis (not how the frame is little longer than the body).

“Looking for offers. I have a Willys Jeep titled a 1956 but I’m told it’s earlier than that. This jeep runs and drives. Frame is good and body is good except for some welded patches. Also selling a 1968 fiberglass body, a 1978 CJ5 and a 1978 Bronco Custom. Trying to thin the herd for 2021. Again, looking for offers on one or all. If I recieve good offers they’ll sell… if not, I’ll have them restored”
This nice looking DJ-3A has a few mods, such as the wrong tailgate, incorrect turn lights. extra rear bumper, extra gauges and some changes within the engine compartment. The history listed isn’t quite right either.

“The Willys Jeep Truck is a truck made by Willys-Overland Motors from 1947 to 1965. The styling and engineering of the Jeep Truck was based on Willys’ existing vehicles, the Willys Jeep Station Wagon and the Jeep CJ-2A. The DJ-3A was introduced in 1955. It used the body style of the older CJ-3A, along with the L-134 engine. Unlike the CJ-3A, it came with either a column shift or floor shift three-speed Borg-Warner T-96 manual transmission. The DJ-3A”

While looking for something else, I was pleasantly surprised with this video of Bruce Agan’s former 1964 DJ-3A Surrey. The video was posted in 2012, prior to his passing. He was the guru of Surreys and Galas for a time and his restoration (including all the interior fabric) is a testament to that fact. There are various photos of his Surrey, Surrey advertising, and other jeeps on Flickr.

“1957 Willys Jeep with a rebuilt 3.8 ltr Buick motor and automatic transmission. This is a titled new build with no miles on it and will need some work to finish. Every part on this vehicle is brand new.”

“Im selling my Jeep flat fender projects. -complete DJ3a body tub- sand blasted and epoxy primed-yes it has some bad areas in it but can be repaired. There is no filler in the tub so it is what you see. -Fenders -two hoods -tail gate -grill -CJ5 frame – very nice and solid -pair of CJ5 axles. $600 for all. Located in Darlington Md 21034”
