“HERE IS A SUPER NICE TOTALLY RESTORED 1954 JEEP 4X4 THIS JEEP IS A SHOW PIECE THAT COMES WITH A PERIOD CORRECT TOTALLY RESTORED HOBART GAS WELDER. LOOK AT THE PICS CLOSE, IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE ANY OTHER PICS LET ME KNOW. THE BUY IT NOW IS BELOW MARKET VALUE  FOR THE JEEP. THE WELDER IS A SUPER RARE ITEM. THE JEEP RUNS GREAT, 4 WHEEL DRIVE WORKS PERFECT IN 4 HI AS WELL AS 4 LO.  JEEP CAME ORIGINALLY WITH RARE PTO. THE UNIT IS STILL WITH THE TRUCK. ALL THE GAUGES WORK,  WATER TEMP. OIL PRESSURE, AMP GAUGE. ALL BRAND NEW TIRES ON JEEP AS WELL AS WELDER.   THE WELDER IS A FACTORY GAS ENGINE WITH A JEEP WILLYS 4 CYL. ENGINE. This looks like a late 80s Bobcat racing body with that extra wide rim around the back.  However, I don’t think any Bobcat bodies came with stock looking steps.  This one is unusual.

“I have a white jeep cj-2a fiberglass tub with the fenders. The brake lights are in and may work. as well as the heater. Body has some minor damage from moving around. As you know, fiberglass is very easy to repair. I’m asking $800.00 obo. . I’m selling to pay for an engine for my xr650l. The only things I’m willing to trade for is another xr650l engine, bike, or a rebuild trade. send me an email or call during the day at nine one four,three one eight,one eight two seven. This thing isn’t perfect, but will dress up that rusted out jeep of yours. And make it lighter.I can email you some pics. I can also deliver it to you within reason.( just help with gas)”

Rob forwarded me the jeep below.  It’s an odd melding of a CJ-2A and a Wagon.  I’d love to get a closer look to see how various problems were solved.

This jeep is one of several jeeps in different conditions being auctioned, though nothing is in amazing condition.  Tools and other vehicles will also be auctioned, including a deuce and a half that looks to me (not being an expert) in very good condition.

Vince spotted this one.  I’m not sure why this is called a FC-140, but it sure has seen some mods!

(03/25/2012) What happens when you put a wagon body on a 1/4 ton chassis?  Well, this appears to be one example.

“I am not sure on exact year or if there is even an exact year. It is titled as a 2004 assembled and needs to be inspected before going on the road. This thing is a bit ugly. It is basiccilly a shortened Willys Wagon. The motor is a Chevy 6 cylinder so it should be an easy candidate for a SBC swap. Right now it does run and drive pretty good for the age but will need some brake work. It is not something that you are goinmg to buy and drive home from here. I bought it thinking I should have one more project jeep but there is no way that I am going to do anything with it. I did not build it so I do not know a whole lot about it. It does have the OEM Willys running gear. Tires hold air pretty good but they are rough. Buy it now and have a different ride for the holiday weekend at Silver Lake. The body work is rough and the side panles were welded on but never ground down or filled in so it definitely looks rough.”

This probably seemed like a good idea at the time ….

” For auction is my 1946 Willys CJ2A “modified”. This vehicle sits upon a cut down 1973 K-5 Chevrolet chassis. It has a cast iron 4 speed manual transmission and cast iron gear driven transfer case! Rear differential is 12 bolt limited slip and front is 10 bolt with manual lock outs. Disc brakes up front and drums in the rear. There is currently no engine!! It was last fitted with a 250 cid GM inline six. Just about anything with a Chevrolet bolt pattern can be made to fit! The top was custom fabricated and appears to be aluminum. The body has, what I would consider, a lot of rust, but is all there and still has many usable parts. Everything about the driveline worked fine when the engine was pulled in 2009. It has been sitting ever since (except to be towed).”
