About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example. This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

“Solid 1946 Jeep Willy. Runs great for a 74 year old vehicle. Great Willy for a farm, ranch or camp. A true workhorse. Came from rancher in Texas and was used on a cattle farm. Was purchased from the previous owner in Virginia where it was used as a recreation vehicle. Currently used at a kids camp in the Shenandoah Mountains. Runs strong and will turn a lot of heads.. One of the stronger old jeeps that I have seen … a true original with a powerful working winch as a bonus.”
This issue of the Globe-Trotter is undated, but I’m guessing it is the March/April 1956 issue. I’ve published some of this a few years ago. Here is the whole issue.
This brochure provides a good overview about how a division of Kaiser Industries began with in civilian government business with the successful post office bid (FJ-3s) in 1960. By 1971, the unit had produced a wide range of government vehicles. That year, American Motors incorporated the business unit into the wholly owned subsidiary AM General Corporation.
“1953-1954 Original Willys DeLuxe Station Wagon postcard.

Has some updates, including an f-head. Unusual windshield.
“I have a built trail rig. It’s a 1949 CJ2A that has an upgraded F Head engine, 3 speed with overdrive, internal lockers both axels, hubs on all 4 wheels. It has the PTO but nothing hooked to it. Custom roll bar where all wiring and switches were routed up top. Bikini top, it has a warn 9500lb winch in the pics which I’m keeping however I have a PTO winch if you want to try and mount it and hook it all up. Mounts on the back for gas cans and more. A tough little Jeep that has a lot of life left in her. It will be a great trail or hunting rig. I will consider half cash and half trade.”
“1941 Willys MB. An American icon and hero. She served in WW II transporting Marine officers. She was dismantled and reassembled to serve our country again in the Korean War. Her 4WD will take you anywhere. All boxes and accessories are period correct. Please look at pictures. I get comments everytime I drive her. I hate to pass her on, but I no longer have the garage space to store her. Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of USA history!”
“Fully restored MC M38 Korean War era military Jeep and 1952 D-K M100 US Army trailer. 12 volt 4 wd. Has been garaged and not been started or driven since my late husband passed. Serious buyers only, not desperate to sell. Looking for someone who loves and appreciates these older treasures as much as we do and can provide the care needed to own this type of vehicle. Two tops included along with side curtains not shown, and extras.”
“5 Willys Jeep 16 x 4 1/2 Wheels . All are very straight with no major dents or dings. One is a little rusty on the inside but nothing major. Can deliver to GF and maybe Kal and Helena. Prefer Calls. May not respond if it looks like a scam.”
“This is a collection of N.O.S. Willys body parts gathered over a 30 year period. It has a full set of floor pans, all four quarters including attached wheel housings in rear. It has a new toolbox with lid, and the rear floor pan has the cross member factory attached. I am also including in the sale, a donor Jeep with a straight clean frame and most parts needed to build a show quality restoration. The Jeep can be seen by appointment 10 miles east of Hershey, PA. Please email me if interested and thanks for looking.”
“1948 CJ2a Jeep. 3 speed trans, 4 cycle original motor. Good condition mechanically, needs body TLC. no major rust. I have army green spec paint 1 gal for it. Have done much work on it. New battery, oil filter assembly, radiator, gas tank sending unit, thermostat, ignition switch, temp gauge, fuel pump(w/glass dome), water pump. Jeep has 11 dumps instead of 9 inch, better stopping ability, brakes were recently done. New spec steering wheel. No emergency brake though. I have a roll bar for it and the original radiator (no leaks) and parts. Seats are not original but are comfortable. It seems the transmission may have be rebuilt as well as the motor. No smoking on the motor and the trans is solid. I need the room so the jeep has to go.”
