Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This is the early 1954 version of truck brochure with the KW stamp, form SD-203-4. It’s the only example I’ve been able to find. The subsequent version, form W-203-5, with a green theme is more commonly found online.

This slide just sold on eBay for $9.25 (+$4 shipping). It’s a great pic of s Surrey parked in front of the ocean. Someone more familiar with Oahu may recognize that location.

Wow, this M-676 appears to have the original Navy lettering on the doors! Engine is siezed.
“This old Jeep was a Navy truck. Has a 3 cylinder supercharged diesel engine. The engine is seized it has been sitting awhile. Has been equipped with an over drive on the transfer case. Was bought for parts but it’s too nice to take apart. Does not have a title. These are hard to find. Make an offer.”
Mark shared this ad. Over all, this looks solid. It likely have a replacement body, as it lacks the faux battery box lid. It does have reverse front springs, so the frame may be original. This also has the King Seely 0-10 early speedometer, which only came with CJ-5s. This does lack the PTO bar in the rear. I think to secure the windshield it is using the Advance Adapter latch kit.

“All original 6 volt but was in the process of changing to 12 volt. New steel body from Toledo. First year of the Hurricane 4 cylinder with overhead valves. Frame, engine and transmission were powder coated. Rhino lined on bottom and inside the tub. New wheels and tires. New top in a box has never been installed. Lots of extra parts including original honeycomb radiator.”

I believe this is Al’s CJ-3B. If so, the Bobcat hood is one he made from the Bobcat/Parkette molds we owned together. He was a straight shooter in all my dealings with him.
