This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The writing on this photo indicates this jeep with a wood top was located in Europe. It was odd enough I thought I’d buy the photo, which was on eBay.

“Here I have a 1951 Willy’s Jeep. Bought as a project for my dad and I, but he’s not here anymore, so I’m looking to part with it.
The motor is a Buick Dauntless 225 V6, runs strong, has a new alternator and fan belt on it.
New gas tank has been hooked up and splashed. Secondary gas tank under rear seat installed but not hooked up

(05/18/2019) Ran when parked … Looks to have Cutlas power lock hubs. I believe that’s a Kelly hardtop.
“Ran when parked rebuilt engine original unsure of actual miles on it. 2800 with plow 2500 without. Yes it has a clear title and is classic plated.”

This early M-38A1 has some rare Dana HubLok hubs. It also has a Warn/Saturn overdrive and a Meyer hardtop.

Looks like mostly surface rust.
Early CJ hardtop (was on a ‘55). Good condition, rear door glass cracked. Doors are good with good glass. Have an extra set of doors to choose from. If asking price is met, you can have both sets of doors.”

“I have a full aluminum top with doors built with .065″ gage and obviously hand built by a metal craftsman. Fits my 2A like a glove. I’ve included pictures of the top on the Jeep to show actual fit. Jeep is not for sale. I am in the Terre Haute Indiana area. I’m asking $400 but would consider a reasonable offer. I just want it to be useful to someone looking for a nice hardtop.”

(04/18/2018) Chad spotted another California modified Flattie. It’s nearly identify to three other jeeps (same body updates, same dash, same custom windshield, same Muller custom top, etc). The differences are slightly, such as this one has a black rear bumper rather than a chrome one like the others.

“I’m selling my willys jeep. I hate to see it go but i don’t use it at all. Its in perfect shape. So many upgrades to the small block 305 v8. I don’t need to get rid of it so no low ballers. I believe this is an early Koenig hardtop.
“Hard top and doors for a Willy’s/CJ5. I originally had got the top when it came with a ’73 CJ5 I had purchased, but since then it’s been replaced with a soft top and doors, so this has been sitting in my garage while I debated whether to sell it or not. I believe it was originally intended for older models (50s to 60s models), but it installed okay on the ’73
The doors come with the top. Windows are intact.”

“Early CJ6 Willys Jeep Koenig Ironworks Hardtop. The doors and outer roof skin have been media blasted. I have all of the hardware for the door sliding windows and sliding windows for the side panels. The rear hatch is missing, I never had it and dont know where it is. Seeing that it would basically be a flat piece of sheet metal with a top hinge it would probably be pretty easy to make one. The top is in reasonable condition, and I believe would only need some minor repair, new glass, and a rear hatch door to be 100%. I am asking $250 obo.”
