Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The ad makes it sounds like a lot of parts, but the pictures don’t suggest a lot of parts. Still, it might be worth a peek if you are nearby.

If you can use some of the other Wagon parts, this might be a good way to get an Overdrive.
“1954 Willys station wagon, two wheel drive with the original straight six in good running condition with 3 speed standard trans with OverDrive. Rebuilt brakes. The Willys needs restoration so please don’t ask if it can be driven across Country….car has a good California title and is currently registered non-op. It comes with all glass, spare door and parts, all 5 correct rims (not in photos)t. Everything is still on the 6 volt setup. Mostly complete, it is missing the back seat, front lower cushions and factory radio. Being relisted due to a idiot who wanted it then did not have any money ”

This has some great upgrades, though it’s a little high for my tastes.

Hurray! Thanks to both John and Joshua (who gave me the original glass covers). Now, I’ve got glass, honeycombed light covers with some real chrome covers (as opposed to my painted ones). This has been one of those lingering projects that it’s nice to have completed.

UPDATE: Price dropped to $2000
This includes a set of 4 terra tires. Is this a race jeep for PNW racing or mud bogs? The tires look great.
“1947 cj2a race jeep. the jeep body is a 47 cj2a that is on 83 jeep commando frame has a chevy 350 in just went through the motor has all new gasket,timing chain cam lifters oil pump new edlebrock carb new accel dist that was 350 bucks alone accel super coil fuel cell jump straps new purple horenys mufflers new radiator, electric fans. has a aluminum power glide with a stall converter in it mated up to the jeep transfer case with a shield around it has a set of 4 tera tires and a set of 2 tractor it also has a brake lock with a slap shifter, tach all newer gauges bucket seats tires for the back of it. this quiet fast runs sweet wanted to play in the montains but its alittle to much for that is more for racing willing to trade or sell looking for a wrangler jeep or something on that line”
Here’s a nice looking jeep, though it’s only 2WD. The rollcage is built from some small diameter tubing.

“Just prior to this sale all systems of this Jeep were gone through by a professional mechanic who made sure everything is working perfectly. This work included a new turn signal switch and a new electric windshield wiper motor on the driver’s side. The passenger side has the original hand operated windshield wiper. …. The drive train is all original and in very good working condition. A Petronix electronic distributor keeps the 134 CID engine running smooth and strong with less maintenance. The transmission and transfer case work perfectly….”

I’m just not sure what this is, but the pinto engine + header might not be a bad price.
