This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It’s missing some parts.
“Rare 1962 Jeep FC 170 with snow plow attachment. No engine or tranny. Most people put in chevy V8’s and automatic transmissions in these anyway. I have owned this for many years but never got the chance to restore and modify the way I would like to. My loss is your gain. Just try and find another one for this price. $500 or trade for a good .357 pistol or ??”

This is a good looking CJ-3B. It’s probably hard to find a brown CJ-3B top anymore.

For only $1200, this is worth a look. It looks to me like there is no glass in the windshield.
“CJ2A, WILLYS JEEP. 1948 SOLD WITH BILL OF SALE. RUNNING ,FLOOR AND HAT CHANNEL HAVE BEEN REPLACED, BODY HAS BEEN SAND BLASTER AND PRIMERED. MOTOR SMOKES BUT HAS NEVER BEEN REBUILT. NICE FRAME AND BODY.”

“This 3A is almost done. It is not a complete restoration but a nice little Willys for parades or driving around town. I was going to put a set of NDCC tires on it and let it be but I have decided I have to many other projects so this one is going up for sale. I’ve had the Jeep since last August. I’ve put a new battery in it, plugs, wires, cap & rotor button, new front brake lines, new shocks, gas pedal, & headlights. It does still need the exhaust finished, a rear brake line and a wire replaced between the amp gauge and the key switch. I drive it around every once and a while just to keep it in running order. The electrical system is still 6V. Feel free to email me or call me with any questions.”

This might be worth a look. The poor paint job might be masking a reasonable body. I wonder how the seller knows the running gears are good (because it rolls?).

This CJ-3A looks in decent condition. Strangely, it’s got both passenger and driver side spare tire holders.
“Lost my deer lease, selling my 49 Willys Jeep CJ3A, only 235 miles on new (not rebuilt) transmission/transfer case, new drive shafts, new front axle, new fuel tank, steering parts, Solex carburetor, OEM Jeep seat frames/cushions, 12 volt system, professionally rebuilt rear axle, tow bar, bikini top, rebuildable transmission/transfer case included. Excellent deer lease jeep, starts and runs good, very dependable.”

It’s a nice looking jeep. Note that it has a M-38 body, so maybe this is a M-38 or maybe it’s just a M-38 on a CJ-3A drive train.

This jeep has some good lines, a nice paint job, and some good tires/rims. But, the box on the hood …

I’m not sure what is funkier, the roll bar or the paint job. However, I don’t think the price is too bad given it runs.
“For sale is one Ford GPW World War Two, 4 Cylinder Jeep. Motor did/can run good no smoke. Needs some work to get it running. $1000.00 of new Jeep parts and VERY good Willys original rims/new non-directional military tires, 6 ply nylon included. Newly rebuilt orig Carter Carb and new fuel pump. 134 L-head Willys flat head four cyl. Lots of new parts that need installed. Or this jeep can be used as parts or a rebuilder from frame up. $1600.00 FIRM with $1000.00 new parts included. Serious inquiries only!
