Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000.
(08/07/2015) This still needs some wiring, plumbing and body finishing.
“For sale a 1960 Willy’s Pickup truck almost finished. Has frame up restoration, tons of new and rebuilt parts to go with it. Only need wiring, plumbing and the body finished. I have the wiring harness and all the new rubber, new windows ect… It is registered and insured just finish it and you will be cruising before you know it. I may be willing to trade for something of equal value.”

(06/10/2010) “1948 cj2a willys jeep. has a 1970 ford inline 6 cyl 170cubic inch. new parts, starter, water pump, thermostat, brake master cylinder. the vehicle starts and runs, just no brakes, overall in pretty good condition. needs to be restored.”

(06/03/2010) This generally looks sound, though modified in places.
“Vehicle in good running order; Stock, straight 4 cylinder motor, 134 CIN; Motor strong, no knocks or oil leaks; Updated 12 volt electrical system; Recent transmission overhaul. Clean, with new paint, but rough body work on driver side; Rust free frame, recent front end work and shocks; Removable hardtop & rollbar; Tow bar; Removable rear bench seat. Stock spare tire (16.0 x 6 inches), rear mount; Drives well, but wanders at speeds over 35 MPH. New tires should fix this; Ready to return to stock condition or to modernize. Manuals and parts list included; Stored in garage.”

(04/10/2010) It runs and drives, but in it’s unclear why this isn’t ready for the road.
“This weekend only, have to clear out of garage. Great project with a little left to finish, does start,run and drive,(would suggest towing home or driving short distance-needs some brake work finished and driveline checked) many new parts installed allready including new brakes,cylinders,lines,fuel tank,pump,and lines,all new exhaust, with more new parts not installed yet, includes 2 sets of tires,Jerry can and mount, has rust but main body looks pretty good,4WD works,12 volt wired and lights working, Clear title and current registration,”

“1959 Willy’s 3B (4 Wheel Drive Jeep) Get in while the summer is still HOT. Great running 4X4 vehicle. This is perfect for off roading, camping/fishing/hunting. It has increadable power, Great tires, motor, and extras.

This might be a good price. It appears to have the F-Head bump in the hood.
