Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (06/14/2010) This looks like a nicely done upgrade. That’s a lot of power for that undersized frame.
“I have a 1945 Ford GPW, V8 conversion, Chevy 350 bored .030 over, 4-speed trans, lockers front and rear, all new wiring. ”
This seems like a good price to me.
“This jeep was reconditioned in the late ’90. For the past two or three years it has been parked in my barn. As a result of not being run the fuel pump has stopped working. With a $30 rebuild kit and a complete cleaning of the fuel system this jeep will run fine. It has been used primarily as a show vehicle being displayed in various parades and events. It is in excellent condition and would make a fine addition to someones militaria collection. The markins are from the Korean War era and the unit was reconditioned to represent this period.”

“1958 WILLYS JEEP, JUST IN TIME FOR HUNTING SEASON. CAMO PAINT, 350 SMALL BLOCK CHEVY ENGINE, 4 SPEED TRANNY. NEW TIRES, SEATS, CARB, EXHAUST AND SPRAY IN FLOOR LINER IN 2008. NEW HORN, DISTRIBUTOR, BATTERY IN 2010. INSPECTED, REGISTERED AND READY TO ENJOY.”
UPDATE: This is now on eBay. Though there are now more pics, none of the pics show the rear.
(07/25/2010) None of the pictures shows the rear. The passenger side rear appears to show some damage/rust at the edge of the picture.
“Attention collector’s, Willys fans, or farmers…runs great! Use 2WD or 4WD. Body has some rust on floor. Side steps and floormats included. Spare tire mount damage but can be straightened. Windshield intact and works, wipers, hood, headlights, seats, seat belts, etc. all good. No top.”

“All 4 cylender 3 speeds; 1 1957 rebuilt motor low miles has winch; 2 1960 1 with snow plow all complete and need minor work parts or restore 1600 for all.”
This looks quite nice.
“This Willys is in great shape! It needs some minor work, but runs good. The body is super solid. There are a couple of nicks in the paint, but nothing major. We’ve kept it in the garage, and have only driven it to a few car shows around town. The previous owner rebuilt, and painted it before he passed away. He took great care of this beauty, and entered many car shows with it. His son put it up for sale and we bought it.
Before that, we know nothing about the vehicle. We have owned this vehicle for about 3 years. This vehicle was rebuilt by the previous owner with these added features: 3.8 Buick V6, 350 Turbo Automatic Transmission, B&M Floor Shifter, custom built interior, black carpeting inside cargo area, Pioneer Stereo, bright yellow paint.”

(04/14/2010) This is an UNRESTORED MB in excellent condition.

I can attest to the fact that he only settles for the nicest/correct original parts and knows what is period correct. A true collector, preservationist, and expert. As far as original goes this jeep is the real deal, top of the line, and something that doesn’t come up for sale. Whoever ends up with this will jeep not be disappointed.”
The seller writes, “For Sale WWII JEEP: original unrestored complete 1944 Willys MB, in running & driving condition, clear PA title, 5 Goodyear tires, ORIGINAL summer canvas top, windshield cover, half doors, ORD tire pump, hand crank, grease gun, first aid kit, oil can, TM 9-803 manual, fold lube chart, and an extra fuel sump ….are all included. Jeep is located near Harrisburg PA. Please email me for price. I’m looking for serious buyers only! Thank you.”

“I have a rare hard to find 3B high hood for sale . It has been in my family for twenty plus years . My grand father had it all rebuilt 18 years ago and then parked it in his shop for yhe next 15 years . I got it 4 years ago and fixed a few little leaks it had from sitting so long . It has a ford 289 V8 in it . The motor is pretty much stock other than headers . It also has saginaw power steering . This is as nice of high hood as there is around .I talso has new tires and wheels .”
