Bruce spotted this unusual jeep utility addition.  The seller notes they scrapped the jeep, but then says he was just kidding and is keeping the jeep (in other words, jeep is not for sale). Anyway, the hotdog vendor unit is certainly an unusual feature!

“Up for sale is a hot dog cooking insert for a willys jeep. Scrapped the jeep(was a little rusty) but thought the hot dog unit was worth saving. Has lots of places to cook stuff and it fits like a glove. Check out the pics. some modification to the wheel well on the drivers side to accomodate what looks to be a sink.probably could remove this piece so no cutting wheel well.Has all the valves and burners I think never tried it out. could use some nobs for the temp control. from the front of the jeep you can not tell this is in the back, and from the back you can not tell its  a jeep. from the side it looks like it should be there. happy bidding ! Only kidding about scraping the jeep, the jeep does not go with it. pickup in howell nj only. Pay in full and will hold inside as long as needed. this thing would be the hot diggity dog of the trail rides. good luck! Bill”

This sale includes a repro body.  In the first pic is a nice shot of the heater.

“1951 M-38 Jeep serial No. 21347. The vehicle has a title in the State of South Dakota. Jeep was used for many years by Honeywell Corp. at its munitions testing site north of Minneapolis.   Body is badly rusted.  Frame is OK.  Engine is original 24 volt military.  Selling as a package deal w BEMAK (phillipine repro) body, front fenders, hood, windshield frame and tailgate. The jeep has not run for 10+ years.  The engine, however, is NOT stuck. Also, all the original military data tags are on the dashboard.”

Here’s a nice looking, stock CJ-2A up the road from me.

“this is a red jeep willys. has all stock except the front fold down windshield. The wheels are not stock either. has a new heavy duty exaughst system on it. Its the 4 cyl motor. 3 speed manual tranny. all it needs is a starter replaced I think. I put a new selonoid on it but still clicks. The 6 volt system was converted to 12 volt. It is nice jeep I just dont ever use it anymore and it is sitting in my yard. (Im to tall for it also) so anyways Im asking 3300 OBO. It also has a Vinal top with the doors. oh its a 1947 too… the 2nd year it was out to the public. sorry I dont have any of the farm attachments for it or the PTO. also have a tow bar that comes with it if you want it”

This sure looks like an original CJ in good condition.

“I am selling a really nice willys, it is NOT military looking, it has been painted, it has the stock 4 bangor, manual trans, high back plastic seats, roll bar, diamond plate all in the right spots. has decent tires, ( dick cepek) with 50% tread. It need the dash installed ( custom beautiful red eucaliptus) < spelling is wrong) new guages, I cracked the winshield putting it in.. Fire dept. injury forces sale.. first good offer get’s it. “All original, great for restoration or hunt, cheaper than any quad, just rebuilt the carb, new charging system, all new brakes, very rare factory split bench seat, Kelsey Hayes 15 inch wheels.
