Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. It doesn’t run and there is rust.
“Selling my grandpa’s farm truck. 1962 Willys pick-up, it’s been in the barn that it drove into for the past 18-20 years. Does not run now and is rough but it’s all there and has lots of good parts. This appears very restorable.
“1950 Jeep Willys Panel. Very unusual panel truck, most of these Jeeps had side windows. This is a 2 WD with what we believe to be a Chrysler 383 with an automatic transmission. They never completed the engine installation and the engine is locked up. The body is very straight and rust free and would make a great project. This might be a good price on a little used Jeep.

It’s got the wrong engine, but has been stored indoors and has little rust (according to the seller).

Jeep has been rewired with painless wiring kit and single wire 100amp alt stewart warner gauges tilt wheel custom bucket seats3″4 point harness 6 point full rollcage fuel cell soft top with doors custom lightbar with 4 kc lights all switches are marine grade this jeep just needs to be put back together to be a great 4×4”

(06/14/210) This has been sliced in half to allow for lengthening. However, it might not be too difficult to slide back together and repair it.
“I have a RARE high hood 1954 Willys CJ3B Jeep body for sale. The body has been cut and stretched to be mounted on a longer chasis. (rat rod or 4×4). The body has not been joined together so that it can be fitted to a frame of any wheelbase. Very solid body all around with very few rust spots. Only serious buyers please”
