This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1951 Willys Pickup. All original except bucket seats. (Have original seat – it needs to be recovered.) New brakes, spray-in bedliner, gas tank, turn signals, 6-volt system. Body straight & solid. $4,500.00.”

Here’s a very nice CJ-6 with some updates.
“I’m selling my 1968 Jeep CJ-6 I purchased in 1997 in Colorado. This jeep has been garage stored and had a 90% restoration before I purchased it. Jeep runs good. Inline six with weber carb. Dana 44 in rear with ARB Locker and Dana 30 in front with Detroit Locker. Jeep has custom dual tanks and bars for roll cage. Also has a Bestop soft top I purchased for $600. I purchased this jeep for $6500 and letting it go for $5200. A CJ-6 is similar to a CJ-5 but 18 inches longer in the middle, nearly the same wheelbase as the CJ-8 Scrambler. This is a rare jeep and very few are even registered.”

Some old desert dogs on the front and old terras on the rear. The rims with the terras look pretty good. Given those additions, I wonder if the drive train was upgraded with anything like posi.

There’s some value in the parts.
“I bought this from an acquaintance who needed the money. It would make a cool project, but not for me. I’m from the west where this kind of rust means the vehicle is long gone. Since moving here I’ve heard people describe this condition as “restorable” or “just a lot of surface rust”. Yeah, except both sides of each surface have rusted to form holes. It ran as of a year ago when I parked it here in the weeds, but while taking pictures I noticed the carb has been uncovered all year. It has push button start, and sounded like it was running on 3 of 4 cylinders when it ran. Plenty of blue smoke to entertain the neighbors with.
Before too long it will get hauled to the salvage yard, it’s worth $250 in steel to me, hence the price. But I’d rather see it go to someone who’ll use it or at least parts of it. I have a clear title from 1989. Brake line is missing, carb leaks fuel. It might be handy for some extra parts though, the grill and hood are decent, and there’s an extra grill included. It also has the PTO drive included. I have no idea if it’s complete, I just know I have a small steel pan with gears in it that bolts to the underside to run a PTO. I also have the original Willys tailgate, which would make a better garage decor than a tailgate because of rust. But it looks cool. The tires in the back are from my Ranger, they are about the same size as the Jeep’s and in better condition, they’ll go with the Jeep also.”

“THIS IS A RARE JEEP (1964 CJ6) NOT OFTEN SEEN. ALL ORIGINAL, NEW BATTERY, EXCELLENT UPHOLSTERY, 4 CYL., REBUILT CARB, REBUILT REAR END (4:27 GEAR RATIO), 3 SPD MANAUL, LOCK OUT HUBS, NEW FACTORY COLOR PAINT. CLEAR TITLE. $5450.00 OR BEST OFFER. Needs master cylinder, tires, tail lights hooked up, heater core has minor leak. Also for sale seperately is the full “Koenig” hard top and doors in excellent shape painted to match ($1200.00). PIC OF HARDTOP ON JEEP WAS TAKEN BEFORE PAINTING, IT NO LONGER HAS THE SPARE TIRE MOUNTED OR THE GAS CAN. ADDITIONAL PICS AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST. MAY DELIVER WITH DEPOSIT ON PURCHASE.”
