Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. 1946 CJ2A Willy Classic Flat Fender Jeep
It has a Buick 231 V6, Dual Exhaust, Dana 44 Posi rear, Dana 27 Posi front, Warn Winch, Dual Batteries (one new), Power Steering, Power Brakes, Lifted aprox. 4 in, off set wheels, 32″ tires in great shape (can handle 33’s) ,Rear Tire/Can rack, tow bar, bikini top and full soft top with doors all included! There is not any noticeable rust and the body is straight. Needs a new fuel pump or filter and the paint on the hood is crackled and peeling so it could use a nice paint job. It starts and runs for a few minutes, and then it stalls out. It has always been a reliable ride and I just can’t afford to take care of it the way it needs. Clean title in hand, street legal, tags good until April 2012.
Please do not respond to this ad if you are going to just come out and kick the tires and make a low ball offer. I want to sell it but am in no rush. I know that this is a fair price in today’s market.

“I hate to list this but current circumstances force me to list my most prized toy. Unimog has been in a barn for the last 20 years. The engine does not turn but shows no signs of ever having moisture in it. It appears to have never been apart. I have made no real attempt at freeing it up besides pulling the glowplugs and squirting some diesel/oil in the holes. The plugs themselves looked good as far as having no signs of moisture in the engine. The transmission shifter wobbles but is not sliding into gears. The PTO shaft does turn and the Unimog rolls easily.Unimog will come with it’s ORIGINAL manual. Steering is stiff but works. Unimog is obviously being sold as is.
It is definitely a project, but I’m thinking this is a M-38 rather than a ’46 Willys.

UPDATE: The seller has deleted this so I’m assuming it sold. Was listed at $2k.
It has sat for a couple years. Unclear why.
“I have a 1953 Willys Jeep for sale. This is a CJ-3B, all original motor and transmission. The jeep was used for years as a US Army jeep for re enacting. it has a military paint job and also has a gun mount attached to the bed of the jeep. The jeep has been sitting for about 1-1/2 years and is in need of restoration. All body parts are present and there is some rust that would have to be dealt with. The jeep has very low original miles on it and also has new tires all the way around. The Jeep has new brakes and the brake system on the jeep was rebuilt before the jeep was parked 1-1/2 years ago. I have about $500.00 in the new tires and $200 into the rebuild of the brake system. I am wanting $2000.00 or best offer for the jeep. This would be a great restoration project for someone who has the ttime, if you are looking for a original Willys CJ3B with all of the original parts here is one that can be restored.
