“My dad has a 1951 CJ3B. Its a work in progress. It has a ’79 Buick V6 motor. Military PTO winch on the front, shaft driven. There are 7 16” tractor tired on ford pickup wheels that goes with it. Its a good project that some one can finish. We didnt have the time or money to finish it.

Lots of mods done to this flattie.

“This is a 1949 CJ2A Jeep Willy’s frame with a fiberglass tub and custom metal flat fender style fenders. Dana 44 front and rear. 5.38 gears with loc right in the front and mini spool in the rear. The Jeep has undergone a full spring over conversion. All Axles are Chrome alloy. Front axle has high steer steering set up with ram assist. 4 wheel disc brakes attached to two corvette 1 inch Wilwood mater cylinders. One controls the front brakes the other controls the rear. This allows brake adjustment to be fine tuned via the master cylinders and summit brake pedal. The rear axle has a custom made track bar. Rear driveline is a CV style, the front is a Tom Woods long slip front driveline. Jeep sits on Mickey Thompson II knock offs with 35 inch Wrangler M/TR tires. Transfer case is a Dana 18 twin stick attached to a newly rebuilt turbo 350 automatic transmission with a B&M stage two shift kit. The engine has maybe 15 hours on it. The motor is a 327 375 HP model out of a 1967 Corvette. Carburetor is a truck avenger. The gas tank is a CJ type moved to the rear of the jeep. The Jeep has a full family cage with intergrated rock rails, including two Beard adult suspension seats and one preteen seat in center rear all seats have 4 point quick release harnesses. Battery shut off switch passenger side floorboard, battery is in rear behind seat, has heater, and warn 8000 pound winch. All interior of the tub has been rolled with Herculiner. Steering column is stainless steel, tilt, with removable steering wheel.

It has conquered every trail at Reider except Outlet Mall. Fun to drive, room for someone up to 6 feet tall to drive or ride shotgun. Email for additional pictures.”

1965 CJ-5 Tuxedo Park Torrance, CA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ5 • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay

The seller provides a good description of the issues.  The underside could use some cleaning.

“1965 CJ5 – rare Tuxedo Park edition with even rarer bench seat, rear side seat cushions, and three speed on the column (works great – and fun!). Tires in great shape. Body very very good, and unmolested. Interior good. Registered in CA with current tags good til Spring 2012. Everywhere you drive it, people give you the thumbs up. Great summer fun.

I purchased this vehicle on Ebay a few months ago. It was listed by the seller as having 29,000 ORIGINAL miles. That might or might not be accurate. Much of the Jeep (it’s very much in original condition) would lead one to believe that mileage – but it cannot be confirmed, and it is not out of the question that the odometer may have been replaced. The seller (who sold it to me) was either unaware of, or failed to disclose, some issues with the Jeep. It required $2,000+ in repairs after it arrived in CA. I’ve had all the work completed by an expert and certified Jeep mechanic and it runs well now. This Jeep needs an owner with time to love it. I love it, but just don’t have the time. Since I purchased it: Complete brake job front and rear – drums, rotors, wheel cylinders. Carb rebuild. New alternator and voltage regulator. Differential service. Transmission and 4-wheel checked. All fluids replaced. All hoses checked (good). All lights now work – signal, brakes, front and rear lights. Compression is excellent: 125, 130, 125, 130.

NEEDS: Wipers not working (all hoses are in place). Gas gauge half-works (enough to keep you out of trouble). Temp gauge doesn’t seem to work. Heater not working. There’s some rust underneath, as this Jeep is a 1965. The floorpans at the front seats look liked they’ve been replaced. The fender wells are amazingly free of rust. The Jeep is its original color, but there has been some touch-up work done) The dashboard is wonderfully unmolested. There’s only a few holes carefully drilled (between the odometer and the left side of the dash). They appear to have been for a mounting bracket. The body is VERY straight and the Jeep looks great for a 1965. Most Jeeps of this era have been so modified, it’s nearly impossible to find one this original. It drives very straight and true. I’ve had other CJ’s. This one tracks very well – better than most.

I am selling it as is. With my purchase price, transporting it to CA, CA registration and $2100.00+ in repairs, I have a lot into this Jeep, but I don’t have the time to love it. The minimum price set on this Jeep is way below what I have into it. It is a very good deal, now.”

1962 CJ-3B New Holland, Pa **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3B This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE:  SOLD. Was listed at $2000.  It sold quickly.

This looks in good shape.

“I have owned this jeep for over 20 years, and never drove it. I bought the jeep with a blown engine, and had the transmission and transfer case totally rebuilt, and I also rebuilt the engine starting with the block. I had the block magna-fluxed and found out that one cylender had to be sleeved, so we had it done. New crank, cam shaft, piston and rings, also had the valves done and the head checked and rebuilt. The flywheel was also turned. I put the short block together, and that is where I stopped.

The front part of the frame was sandblasted, but the whole frame was cleaned and painted. The The body was also worked on, any rust was cut out and new metal welded in. There is no body putty on the body, I have photos of the work we did to the body at each step. I have all of the parts painted including all the headlight parts, radiator and shroud. The windshield frame is painted black, and I have the rubber seal for the windshield. Some of the windshield hinge parts have not been painted, but all the parts were sandblasted, and coated with a primer that you can sand to remove any imperfections. The photos show the dust that is on the jeep and seats, but the body and paint are like new. We welded shut all the holes for the soft top snaps and such, I did not plan on installing a roof. This was going to be a sunny day vehicle!

I bought the seats from a parts dealer and had them re-upholstered. The light color you see on the seats is dust, not mold. The seats will clean up perfect.

I have all of the engine parts, and diagrams that I drew so I could remember how to re-install all the wiring. The carb has not been re-built.

I thought about parting this jeep out, but it would be a shame if it were never completed (I was so close!).”
