“Well, here we go loyal Jeep fans. Don’t let this one get away. This may be your last chance to own an ORIGINAL RUST FREE CJ-3B. If you are looking for a truly rust free example, then this is it! No new panels, no new floors, no new fenders, all body panels and tub are original to this CJ-3B. Never any rust repairs, all original sheet metal. Mostly original paint, touched up here and there over its 50 years. Underside is clean as the topside. All drive train is original and in terrific condition. Original WARN OVERDRIVE was installed by the 1st owner to allow driving on the roads without taxing the engine with high RPM’s. All general maintenance was performed last fall by a licensed mechanic. Top and door frames are original with new black fabric in excellent condition. Original wheels included. Original owners manual and service manuals included.
A few years ago I went on a search to find an original, not restored, rust free CJ-3B. I always liked the high hood look of the 3B. I intended to bring it to our family camp and use it as a grocery getter and let the family use it to scout around. I didn’t mind doing the mechanical maintenance on it, but did not want to chase rust. I found this 3B from a southern man who was the second owner. He had the 3B for seven years and put 6000 miles on it. The maintenance was done by a family member who was a licensed mechanic. The general items, brakes, wiring, hoses, etc were tended to. It was always garage kept and used primarily for pleasure. Although he did accumulate a few prizes at local car shows. The 1st owners used it for forty-one years on the family compound. It was garage kept and accumulated 29,000 miles. General maintenance was kept up with no major events logged. It has a clear title. I had the 3B shipped to me and had a licensed mechanic run through it. I brought it into town twice (6 miles), but never to camp. The 3B has sat in a humidity controlled warehouse waiting to venture out. Unfortunately, work has kept me at bay and it looks like it will continue into next year. It is time to pass the torch on this CJ-3B to someone who can enjoy it!”
