This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1400.
“I got a 47 willys with an 83 toyota drivetrain. The motor runs good but needs work on throttle cable and frame has some rust spots. The willys is sitting on 38.5 gumbo mudders tires alone are worth 600. I need money for new vehicle blew my motor in my truck thats the only reason for selling my toy.”
There may be some value here.
“1946 CJ2A. Title has been lost, but bill of sale will be provided. The Jeep appears to be complete except for windsheild, tailgate, and air cleaner assy. 2 inward facing rear seats with grab handles. Roll bar. Tow bar is attached, but welds need to be redone. All running gear appears to be stock. Engine will turn over by hand. Have not put a battery in it to check electrical system. Transmission shifter not not seem to change gears, so it will need some attention. Body is in great shape without any major dents and very little rust. I do not believe there is any rust through. This one would make a great restoration project, deer lease, or farm truck. I can get more pictures within a few days upon request. Need cash more than trades, and all reasonable offers will be considered.”

I also have some other 1949 Jeepster parts. I have an extra tub, 2 frames, seats and frames, 2 hoods, 1953 Studebaker big block (not running), 350 small block and transmission (runs and is still in 1989 Chev. Conversion Van).

“I believe this is a 1946 Jeep, no title, plates. carburetor and starter. I parked. this car a few years ago. It was running. Present condition unknown. I took carburetors off to get it rebuilt and it was lost. Do not have time to redo it…it is a nice project. SOLD AS IS…WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET…NO RESERVE other Jeep on pictures also for sale, trailer it is a 1946, also for sale , make me an offer”

In July of 2010 Brian found a 1945 MB on eWillys which he purchased. After getting it home and getting some repairs done, he decided that it should go to work for him, so he’s been lending it out for people to use for photos or as a display. So, many of you have probably seen pics of jeeps doing just about everything, but have you ever seen it used to sell books? I thought it was a great idea!
Brian writes, “I’ve actually rented the jeep out already to people for photos and display use – it all helps with the costs. I recently rented it to be on display at a Book Launching (Surviving Your Serengeti by Stefan Swanepoel) attended by over 10,000 people. The year on the hood of this jeep appears to read 1941, but the ad is for a 1942 MB. Probably an oversight, but just saying …
“you will not find a better conditioned willys army jeep than this… all original matching numbers 1942 willys jeep.. this vehicle has never been registered or even driven on a road..it has been professionally restored. its has 72 original miles ….yes just 72 as it just sits around in a climate controlled aircraft hangar and is occassionaly driven on the airfield.. it is in mint condition with no dirt of any kind on it.”
