This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: Mike notes in the comments that the pintle hitch was an option for the CJ-2As and bolts right up. So, this could be a CJ-2A frame with a pintle.
The serial number suggests this is a little late to be a VEC CJ-2A.

“I have two vintage Willys Jeepster or Jeep pick up truck grilles. 1940’s or early 1950’s. New old stock. Found in the attic of an old building that was a Willys dealership back in the 1950’s. 1) 1945 Willys MB Nearly 100% original Mid ’45 production, Mid ’44 GPW engine, rusty but restorable. 5 Combat Rims. Only will be sold if one of the other jeeps sells first. Will not be sold if the other vehicles do not sell. $2500″

Lindsey noted this might be a CJ-V35, given the hood cut-out and the tow hooks.
“This was licensed in 2009. It was parked when owner had a stroke. Motor is out of a 45 and was rebuilt as his sons highschool project. I’m helping a disabled gentleman who still owns this. Make an offer via text or email.”
UPDATE **SOLD** Was $7495
Check out the front bumper. That’s one of the more unusual bumpers I’ve seen. I might just have to go check that out tomorrow if I can make the time. I find the angles and integrated approach to the winch appealing. The back is more standard, but looks good too.
Gerald found two more pics Ron May’s Jeep, which show what can happen when you drive off course. You’ve seen this first one.
Pete spotted this upcoming suction on the Discovery Channel’s Auction Kings Show. Turns out, the episode is on the web. It was also for sale here for $20k.
My question is, does the auctioneer have any fiduciary responsibility to be honest? Because, to say “this is restored perfectly” is simply dishonest. On the other hand, the seller didn’t know what they were buying, so they shoulder some blame for spending $16,000 (plus any other fees) on this one. It does look great, just not as historical as implied.
