Builds: Goose Fixes up His CJ-3B in only 4 Months
Goose wrote me an email today, announcing he had finished the restoration of his CJ-3B. Not only did he complete his budget-conscious restoration in only 4 months, but he also documented it in two different locations (see links below); not a trivial task! He’s done a good amount of work in a short time and I think he’ll be happy with it for quite a while. Well done Goose!
Goose writes, “Hey Dave. I finally got my jeep finished and wanted to share the story. I’ll include a couple pics with this email but feel free to pull any others down from the links below too. The first link is from thisoldjeep, which I discovered here and the second is from a site where I frequent due to my dirtbike passion.

A Crosley with a Mini Crane
Randy spotted this unusually equipped Crosley. He spotted it in this USGS document.
Flattie Parts from Brazil
UPDATE: Roberto had originally noted this was from Brazil, but when I checked out the website, I saw Londrina – PR, which I interpreted as Londrina, PR. So, I did a search from Londrina, PR and somehow found a town called Londrina in Puerto Rico. Unfortunately, it seems I was a sleep at the keyboard. Because Hugo, from Uruguay, contacted me and told me the company was based in Brazil. Puzzled, I did another search and could no longer find a Londrina in Puerto Rico. Oh, the mysteries of the internet! So, thanks to Hugo and Roberto!
Roberto spotted this Cinfel website. I don’t know anything about the seller and I can’t tell if the seller is simply a reseller or manufactures these parts. Anyone know?

1952 M-38 Fremont, Ca $2000
This might make a good restoration project if the seller’s description is accurate.
“This is a PROJECT Jeep from the Korean War era. It is an excellent platform for a complete restoration, or you can build it up as a fun Jeep to run around in.
It has many very valuable and rare military spec parts, and will come with the following parts. I will not separate the parts or allow cherry picking of the expensive and rare items. You could buy this jeep and easily part it out for more than my asking price.
Jeep rolls, steers, and stops. The axles and drive train are complete and original. The correct stamped Willys RMC engine is disassembled, but remains in-frame. The body has both data plates, and they match.
Comes with correct and original Carter YS waterproof carburetor, Engine lift hook, air cleaner, underhood battery box in excellent condition. Has correct 24Volt generator, starter, and distributor. Correct headlight guards, and all original Willys sheet metal. Very little rust, and the body is solid.
Has date correct Cooper NDT mil spec tires, etc. Original seat frames in good restorable condition. Comes with other NOS and good parts. Sold with bill of sale only. Call James at 510-682-6398 to see it.”
