Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This includes a PTO and snow plow. Looks like a good price. I haven’t see too many of the Bonanza II hardtops.
“I have a ’61 willys jeep that needs some TLC. A project that never got started. It has an inline 4 cyl, manual tranny with hi/low range, pto winch and a snow plow lift(I still have the plow if interested). A little bubble of rust under the driver door, frame looks good. UPDATE: Price dropped to $1400. Am I missing something? This looks like a good price for a Eastern CJ-3B.
(12/10/2010) Runs and has a PTO. This might be a good price. Check to make sure this has a title, as this looks like a CJ-3B for sale in November that didn’t have a title.

There may be some value here. But it is a mix of parts.
“body is 1941 font fenders, hood, grill, and windshield frame are solid the tub is in fair condition a couple spots of rust but fixable. it has a 1969 ford 289 small block that ran when i pulled it but needs rebuilt original trans and transfer case (T90/spicer18). frame is a 1955 cj 5 with a 81inch wheelbase compared to the original 80 inch wheelbase the frame is perfect its rust free and painted it also has a brand new 4wd 3 inch lift new springs, new shackels, shock plates and new shocks that are still in the boxes. motor trans and transfer case are mounted in the frame as well as the axles. i have your choice of titles as this project started as three jeeps, one is a 1969 cj in my name the other 2 are willys titles in PA that are signed but not in my name and one has the matching willys body plate to it”

“1951 Willy CJ2a 4×4 / 350 V8 / 4-speed / high – low range. custom 2in steel roll cage / 4 – point harness front & rear. tires / 4 – 33in all terrain on steel rims / 2 – 14in & 2 16in sand tires. street legal / with off road lights. has been a fun and reliable on our trips to the desert and mountains. will consider trade for later modlel 4×4 cherokee.”

“RUNNING, DRIVING JEEP, HAS ORIGINAL L-134 4 CYL FLATHEAD ENGINE, 3 SPEED ON COLUMN,NEW RADIATOR, MASTER CYL, BATTERY, LIKE NEW TIRES, TOW BAR. FACTORY DELIVERY WITH HARDTOP THAT CAN BE REMOVED. GREAT BODY WITH ONLY SURFACE RUST. NO HOLES IN BODY, VERY SOLID FLOOR PANS HAVE 2 SMALL RUST HOLES UNDER SEAT, OTHER THAN THAT VERY SOLID WITH ORIGINAL PAINT. HAS BEEN CONVERTED TO 12 VOLT. NOW THE PAINT IS FADED AND HAS SOME SURFACE RUST, WINDSHIELD IS CRACKED AND WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. IT HAS A BROKEN BRAKE LINE IN THE REAR SO I NO LONGER DRIVE IT. WITH MINOR REPAIR WOULD MAKE GREAT DAILY DRIVER OR RESTORE.”

“51 Willys California 2WD Wagon. 4 cylinder, 3 speed with Overdrive unit. (rare)
new, 12 Volt electrical, Alternator, Starter, Battery, Lighting, Belt, Water pump, Fuel pump, Brake system, Carb, Clutch assembly, leaf spring bushings, Rebuild Hurricane F134 engine. Very minimal rust, only three small dents. Runs and drives great, needs seat covers and headliner and you decide what to do with paint.
