“53 CJ3B JEEP FRAME HAS NEW SHACKLES NEW FRONT AND REAR BUMPERS ALSO A NEW BATTERY TRAY I HAVE TITLE CALL 786-339-6292”
UPDATE: Was $7500. **SOLD**
(01/08/2012) At least the seller acknowledges it isn’t all original.
“This is rare, most left the USA never to return.
It runs, shifts and stops, I have driven it in parades the last few years. It has been covert-ed to 12 volts and has a few other minor mods but for the most part it is stock and un-restored.
Body and frame numbers are gpw and match, engine is also gpw #’s, ID tag date is January 1944, original and unmodified body (except windshield) with very little rust. also have Pentagon manufacturing hardtop that goes with it. The trans, transfer-case and axles look original for the year.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
(06/14/2012) I wonder if that is some padding at the driver and passenger entrances? This has seen some patches, too. Are those Wagon seats or the CJ-5 2/3 1/3 bench seat?
“Cool piece of history
runs really well
too many new parts to list.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6500.
“Complete, all original. Valid title, currently registered through Aug 2013. California street legal. Hurricane 226 six cylinder flat head starts, runs, drives well. All meters (except speedometer), heater, lights work well. New battery, tires, muffler. Rust free, clean, straight body. Some surface rust only on the floorboards but strong and solid. Many additional pictures available upon request. Located in Northern CA, can deliver if arranged before sale. Email David with questions, to arrange to view, or to make offer.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(06/18/2012) I might be mistaken, but it looks like this was painted with the hood closed. There appear to be lines down both fenders.
“Red, Manual, 4 Cylinder, 65,000 original miles. If interested call (270) 465-1972.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2300

“1953 Willys CJ-3B High Hood, Overhead Valve ‘Hurricane’ Engine,
F Head. Famous for reliability and very easy to work on.
3 Speed Manual, High – Low 4×4
I do not own the pink slip to this vehicle,
It was given to my father by a local. It can probably be tracked down, but it might not be worth it. May be cheaper to re-enter into the DMV system
EMAIL me your phone number and offer IN CASH ONLY
THATS THE ONLY WAY I WILL RESPOND SERIOUSLY TO YOUR EMAIL.
I won’t call you unless I say so in my RESPONSE EMAIL

“1942 GPW Ford Jeep.Original data plates and hood number. Restored a few years ago. Thus jeep was used in several movies filmed in Petaluma , Ca. It has a rebuilt carb., rebuilt transmission (I was told this when I purchased it), new tires on 5 original split rim combat wheels, new paint and a new canvas top.It has a Willys motor (which was in it when I got it) and a 12 volt system. It was restored with all the original parts., i.r everything was taken off, sandblasted, cleaned and repaired (as needed) and put back on. The front seat cushions are not new- there were on it when I got it. It had a new wiring system an all lights and horn work perfectly. The beauty of this jeep is the original data plates – often missing and the original hood number – often sandblasted off or painted over.”
I got busy on other projects last night, so just a few posts today.
Craig has a chance last month to make a trip into the mountains of Colorado. He thought everyone would enjoy these pics, which are beautiful!
“Here’s some pictures of our trip to Black Bear road on 9/21/12 . The Jeep shown is a 1978 Wagoneer converted into a tour jeep. It has been in service since 1978. I’m going to try to put together something on my site maybe. It’s not FC related but has to do with the history of my tour jeep. I might have some time this week before we leave for our vacation. Some factoids; Wild Bill has been down Black Bear more than any other person living or dead, upwards of 2000 times. He’s been driving for the company for about 34 years and drove for others and personally drove the area 10 years before. We were there at the height of the Fall colors out there! IT WAS AWESOME!!!!! I put some descriptions on the titles of the pictures. The switchbacks are below the steps of Black Bear and both are past the summit. Once you pass the summit Black Bear turns into a one way trail as passing is obviously impossible to do on the trail from that point on.”
Here is the Tour Jeep:
