Smokestacks and snorkels:  Not a combo you see everyday . . .

“1947 Willys CJ2A for sale. Fully restored by the owner. This jeep is one of the best looking Willys and turns heads down every street. The restoration was a 4 year project. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000

This doesn’t run, but appears pretty solid and utilitarian.

1952 Wagon Onondaga Hill, NY **SOLD** (former Air Force)

• CATEGORIES: Willys Wagons • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.

This is an old Air Force Wagon that, according to the seller, was modified with a V8 by the Air Force.  It’s a neat bit of history.  Apparently Mercury supplied motors for an unknown number of swaps into wagons.

“This is a pretty rare super solid Willys Wagon. She came from an Air Force base in Wyoming and was used as a crash tender. The original engine was not fast enough for the military so a Mercury flathead V8 was adapted quite nicely to the original drivetrain. I couldn’t tell you you when she was last in service but I know this vehicle was stored in a hanger for quite some time. The body is extremely solid! This is an easy retoration. She runs great and drives straight. I have spent years collecting parts for this beauty and everything goes with her. Way too much to list, but my asking price hardly covers the parts and transportation costs to get her to Syracuse. If you’ve been seriously looking for a Willys Wagon to restore, this is the one. I searched the country to find her. Please don’t ask me to sell the engine separately. The military bought these vehicles with the intention of swapping motors and Mercury provided a limited amount of them and I wouldn’t want to ruin the historic significance of that.”

UPDATE:  Price dropped to $1800.

(06/03/2012) As best as my poor spanish will translate, the seller knows this is a project and doesn’t have the money necessary to put into it.  The brakes don’t work.  Body appears solid on the outside.

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $7000

(02/21/2012) umm … The jeep I am looking at in the pictures doesn’t jibe with the ‘great condition’ claim.

“1953 Jeep Willys
Great condition.
Jeep runs and drives, 4×4 works, tires and rims all original. Just needs a paint job, and get the seat reupholstered. This is a rare jeep and is a great project vehicle. California pink slip in hand and tags are already paid for and current. This was supposed to be a father son project car, but things came up and we don’t have the time or money for it.”

“I have a 1949 Willys. Flat head 4cly. It does run, but needs a little TLC with the engine and body/drive train. She’s not purrrfect, but she is old school and very cool!  Call Cori 503-752-5538 for any questions or more pics.”
