1950 CJ-3A Sussex County, NJ **Status Unknown**

• CATEGORIES: CJ-3A This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was priced at $600.

Looks like a parts jeep.

“This is a 1950 CJ3A that I got for parts on a project. The tub is in poor shape. The frame looks to be in good shape with no holes or deep pitting. This was used as a farm vehicle by the previous owner. The engine has not been started in about 1-2 years. I have not had it started since I got it last year so I can not confirm the condition of the engine. The rear axle was taken out to be rebuilt. It is not currently on the Willys but It is included with the sale. I have several additional parts included with the vehicle;

1. Metal half hard top and doors that cover the front operator and passenger
2. Frame work and hardware for a soft top. ( canvas not with the kit )
3. Windshield Frame ( no glass )
4. 2- small spout gas tanks
5. 1- large spout gas tank
6. 2- Head light housings and bezels.
7. 1- Jeep valve cover
8. Padding for rear seat ( fair- poor condition)
9. 1- Oil pan with skid plate

In no way is this vehicle road worthy or turn key. Like I said before I got this for parts on a project that I can’t complete now due to injury. If you have a project that needs a frame or parts than this is for you. There is no title or bill of sale with this purchase. Also please don’t ask me to break up the parts. This is a package sale.
Thanks for looking. If you have questions please contact me 973-570-7117”

MB/GPW Jeeps and Parts Monroe, WA **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: GPW (Ford MB), MB This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000.

Nick forwarded this find. The seller wants to sell everything together.

“My father was a very early (charter?) member of one of the first Jeep clubs in the country: the Yakima Ridgerunners (est. 1947). I am 65 and literally grew up in the back of his 1945 Military GPW Jeep. His WW2 Jeep was his baby, meticulously maintained, well-cared for, and always housed in the large barn on his property in Yakima.

Over the years he continuously added to his parts collection, and at the time of his recent death (April 2013) his WW2 military Jeep parts and parts Jeeps occupied a good share of the barn and adjacent shed building. Two of the Jeeps, plus a utility trailer built on Jeep axles, wheels, rims & tires, are titled, but only one is fully operational — his original, mint-condition 1945 GPW. But the WW2 era Jeep parts collection is extensive.

As the Personal Representative of his Estate I am now authorized to offer his entire “collection” for sale for $10,000 FIRM! I have received considerable interest, and several offers, for portions of this inventory, but wish to sell the entire “WW2 Military Jeep collection” in a single transaction, either to a single buyer or a group of buyers, but in a single transaction”

Pasco to Randle on Friday, August 31

• CATEGORIES: Features This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

2013-08-31-highway-mtadamsAs mentioned, on Friday we decided to forgo the 3 1/2 hour trip from Pasco to Seattle for a much longer route (which turned out to be about 12 hours). As you can see in the pictures, the weather was optimal!

2013-08-31-trip

We left at 9am. Our first stop was the remote farming town of Bickleton (it doesn’t even have a gas station). However, the town wasn’t always remote. For years travelers past through it as part of their trek from Portland, Oregon, to the Yellowstone Trail and Yakima.  After the creation of Highway 97 over Satus Pass, the town’s traffic dwindled (sounds like a Cars movie).

2013-08-31-hops

We arrived in Bickleton to find the entire main street blocked off for a car show. We toured the cars, hoping to see a jeep. After looking, we spotted one hidden next to a building. I don’t think it was part of the show though, but we photographed it anyway.

The side of this truck faintly indicated it came from Texas.

And now for the car show . . .

Between you and me, I knew the car show was here. Ann was surprised though 🙂
