Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Willy’s Trailer, made from the back half of a 1948 Willy’s Jeep. Has front cabinet with lid for storage, the original storage under the passenger seat in good shape, has 2″ ball hitch in front and 2″ ball for towing in rear. Has original 7.50″ x 16″ wheels with truck M&S tires. Set up for 6 pin wiring.
Want to sell as a set just in time for Hunting Season. Could also be a GREAT restoration project, just turning 50 years old “VINTAGE”. Asking $4500 for both – $4000 for Willy’s and $500 for trailer. “Less than 4000 miles on complete rebuilt 1986 3.1 L Buick throttle body engine, also 3 speed rebuilt tranny, chain driven clutch, new hubs, roll bar, racing seats w/ harness, after market $3500.00 frame, new top, dash system, many other features only to be appreciated by those who truly know a from ground up project. massive paperwork! Looks and sounds great! $6000.00 ”

“1947 Willys 2A Jeep. 231 V6 with a fully synchronized 3-speed tranny. Power steering, tilt column, posi-trac front axle, 11″ brakes, overdrive, winch, 8″ wheels and 80% rubber, custom bucket seats, 4-point harnesses, full roll cage, bikini top.”
This has restoration potential.
“This Jeep has been family owned for 45 years. In the last few years the motor has been cleaned up, it has been repainted, the seats recovered, new tires, a new clutch, and it runs pretty good for the year. Selling it because we don’t use it much. Unsure of the mileage. Most older vehicles have lower miles! My family probably put less than 500 miles on it. ”

It runs and drives. I don’t see much rust.
“1947 Willys Jeep with F134 engine. New radiator, radiator hose, thermostat, gasket, thermostat housing. Still running but head gasket blown between 3 & 4 cylinder. It is a fun little jeep. Was a turn keep and still is. Come drive it today on a sunny sunday. The roll over bar went to the dump couldn’t sell it for gas money.”
