UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8000
(05/05/2013) I’m gonna guess that ‘it may need brake work’ means ‘it definitely needs brake work’.
“1947 CJ-2A. it is running. may need brake work. only serious buyers.”

(05/02/2013) This jeep has been disassembled.
“I have a 1948 CJ-2A very well used. I bought it about a year ago and when I got it stripped down it was more than I wanted to take on right now. The pictures are from when I bought it — it has totally been stripped but can still be towed with the A-Frame in the front. I did get the engine running before I stripped it. Vehicle is sold as is with no title.”
We made it home after driving 10,043 miles through 27 states. Time to rest. I’ll summarize the trip tomorrow night. Thanks to everyone who helped make it so special!
This may be worth a look.
“1948 Willys Jeep that has minimal rust, runs good, but does need a little work. This jeep is for someone who appreciates the old Willys Jeeps……not your freeway Barbie Jeep.”

Hard to see the condition from just his one pic. The seller lists it as a 1951 in the title, but also notes that it only had 2WD.
“We’ve owned this Willys since 1989, and it has been part of our family for a very long time. It has never been a 4×4, and is powered by a low mileage 85 mustang 4 cylinder engine, automatic transmission, and rear end. The computer, electric fan, and electric fuel pump are installed and working properly. The Willys is fun to drive around town, especially with its train horn and siren, animal, mic horn we have installed in it. The body of the Jeep is nicely painted red in color with custom pinstriping. The interior is just as nice and is gray cloth including the custom rear seat. The doors have been fabricated and are removable. We have a custom bikini top to fit the Willys, but no official top. We have used it in parades or driven it around just for fun. At this time we are not really interested in trades. Please call or text for more pictures or further inquiries @ (812) five 2 five – 9369.”
