Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Nice all original 1960 Willys Wagon, rebuilt Super hurricane 6 Cyl,, 3speed trans, nice alpine white paint, new seat covers, needs headliner, In the shop now finishing going thru the drive train, transmission and transfer case already rebuilt, should be finished in a couple of days. “Selling for my boss- 1961 Jeep FC-170. Very rare vehicle. This was origianlly used as a runway vehicle at a local airport. It needs love, but is 99% complete. I believe the motor is froze, has manual trans, some glass needs to be replaced, interior needs to be replaced, some rust issues. “Here is a brief run down on what is here. The frame is from a 46, the engine is from a military jeep (sear number xxxxxxx). The body was an early reproduction, additional taillight was installed and hole for aux trailer plug. It is very acuracy for a 46 with the exception of no matching numbers, frame, body, engine. Every part has been taken off and gone through. all gauges are new, also the speedometer. The parking lights are Corian, hard to find and in excellent condition. It has the original Spartan horn on the fire wall, new wiring harness, all electric parts were gone through. The carb was rebulit. It is painted the Pasture Green, tires and tubs are new, the rims are Kesley Hays.
If I had to try to get back the time and money put into this project it would very costly. This will make a nice jeep to drive around in and have fun, parades car shows etc. It comes with service manual, plate, clear title. owner’s manual. I have a top I am including with the sale. It is a Best Top I had on another jeep and is in very nice condition. There is a crack in the rear plastic that can be replaced. All the receipts’ and a running record of the money spent also come with.

(02/06/2013) Bo is selling his 1944 MB Project
“I have for sale an early 1944 MB 340503 for sale. I’ve cleaned (to bare metal), primed and painted most of the external surfaces. A lot of body work was done, too, although I left all of the dents in place. In time, the hat channels will need to be replaced.
Here is a link to my blog that covers in better detail what was done and how it currently looks.
Post war engine (not running, but will turn over), T84 transmission, Dana 18 transfer case (both shift, but will probably need rebuilt), and the jeep rolls.
Right now I’m asking $4000 or best reasonable offer. No title, just a bill of sale. Located in Summerville, SC.
Its a good start for somebody else to restore! If you could post it on your site, I would be grateful. If it sells, I will totally donate to keep this place up and running!! By the way, your efforts have been extraordinary the past week. I think it looks great! DoD was 6-8-1944

(02/03/2013) This jeep includes a rear PTO. This looks solid.
“this CJ2A has an upgraded F-head 4 cylinder with rebuilt carb, 4wheel drive and power take off on the rear.the leaf spring are “beefed” up to allow for larger mudder tires if you want.all brake shoes and wheel cylinders along with the master cylinder have been replaced with parts from willys works,also brake adjusters are new.all lites work and most guages work.the temp guage needs new line.battery and alternator came from oreillys. if you have any questions feel free to call Tom @520-275-6469 thx.$4500 OBO”
