Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. UPDATE: Steve reports that the photo is of his jeep that he sold last month. And, if you look at the background, it’s not Hawaii. This jeep has been listed twice on Craigslist in Hawaii.

Doesn’t run.
“Jeep Willys, Titled as a 1942, but after research, think it is more like a 1946. Many 1942 parts. It is a CJ2A. It is in rough shape, did not have the time to re-build and finish. It is a sweet Willys, and the motor is not frozen, but does not run. Needs lots of TLC to make her new again. Willing to deliver within a 200 mile radius from Shell Knob, MO.”
