This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I’d like a photo of the rear of this top. It sure looks unusual.
“1948 Willy’s for sale. Asking $3800 no trades. It has inline 4cylinder with 4×4. Needs a new battery and master cylinder.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.
The odometer reads 11,800. And, it looks like it could really be low miles. Might be worth a closer look. Not sure why the tailgate is a different color than the body (though the tailgate seems to match the dash.
“This is a well kept, hard to find Jeep. I have original title, was used to maintain driveway of roller rink for many yrs, then stored many more. Actual mileage is 11800+. The engine is the std jeep engine from that yr. Runs quietly, etc. Has hydraulic lift for plow. I also have that plow if interested. Body is very good for a vehicle of 58 yrs. Insured appraisal at time of my purchase was 7500. If you are looking for a great old vehicle to work on or just bum around in this is for you.”

This has a rare Husky Overdrive.

Needs some work, but sure looks like a good price to me.
“1968 Cj5 jeep, V6 engine, 3 speed , bone stock, absolutely no rust, mustang bucket seats, full roll cage, needs some TLC to get back on the road, ( exhaust, radiator installed, etc) , currently registered non-op in my name, this clean, straight old girl deserves to be brought back to life, and enjoyed. $1450 OBO”
Hasn’t been run since 1992. Looks pretty good for a jeep that’s been sitting for 22 years. It seems like we’ve seen this one previously.

Body and frame are in great condition no rust, a little but if surface rust here and there but otherwise in great shape.

UPDATE: Status Unknown. Was $3000.
Not exactly a ‘combat jeep’, but interesting none-the-less. The serial number looks to be 14093 (not positive about the 3 though).
“rare VEC combat jeep converted after the war by willys for civilian use. ran great last summer has a dead battery might need a starter rebuild. no tub rust except one spot on the passenger step. 3 brand new jeep tires included. ($600 value)”

“For sale: 1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep. Needs muffler, and battery. Will install for additional $$$ or take as is. Has new pistons and rings ( 3years ago) . Traveled approximately 50 miles since then. 4 cylinder, 6 volt system. Let’s talk.”
Given the year, maybe body is sitting on a CJ-5 or CJ-3B chassis?
“Jeep Cj3a. Weekend fun. New top and good tires. Replacement steel body without rust. F134 4 cyl and three speed manual trans with two speed transfer case. Wiring all redone with fusebox. Needs fuel tank float. Runs and drives without issues. Painted lusterless olive drab with cool military accessories. Current pa inspection.”

The passenger entrance has been lengthened. I wonder if the driver’s side has been too. The body has tool indents on the passenger side as well, but is not a M-38, so it is likely a replacement body.
