UPDATE: **Status Unknown** Was on eBay.
This was listed back in July 2013 in Wisconsin as an 80% project for $7500. The restoration has since been completed.
“Frame off restoration over the past 5 years. Just completed. Rebuilt Hurricane 4 cylinder motor. Pulled off frame. Frame painted and detailed. Taken down to bare metal and painted Flat Army Green. It runs and drives great. Demands attention everywhere. You never see these and they are becoming IMPOSSIBLE to find. The actual trucks AND parts. They were only made for four years and most were abused then destroyed. Dont miss out. You may never see a restored, complete example again!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $40,000.
Looks nice. I tried to find a link to the article online, but couldn’t locate one.

Nice looking jeep, but not ‘mint condition’. There are extra holes in the windshield and floor, along with obvious wear in other places.

New gauges fuel gauge works. And I also have a 1945 willys trailer that I would throw in for 500 original.”
Runs, but doesn’t stop.

A variety of new parts on this including the body.
“Just in time for summer fun, I have up for sale one of the nicest CJ-5’s you’ll ever see!! Just in time for the cruise-ins, running down the road, or through the woods. Your kids or grand kids will love it!!
This ’61 has a brand new steel body. New steel fenders and windshield frame with new glass. Has the original hood, grille, and tail gate. This CJ-5 comes with the original frame as well that has been sand blasted and painted. IT IS IN ABSOLUTELY M-I-N-T CONDITION!!! The front horns (as pictured) have NEVER been tweaked, bent, twisted, or welded on. Good luck finding 53 year old horns and frame as nice as this one.
The motor runs great and transmission shifts smoothly. Clutch is perfect and 4×4 works flawlessly. Drive it anywhere; RUNS – RIDES – DRIVES LIKE BRAND NEW!!
