“Selling a 1952 Willy’s jeep. it has a 1950 jeepster hurricane i4 engine, converted over to a 12v system with an alternator. it has a horn installed, needs new battery. its been sitting in a pole barn for most of its life. tires have less than 100 miles on them but one has gone flat. needs new upholstery and wipers.

He writes, The Bankhead Highway Memorial Convoy rolled through Ft. Worth last Monday and I was ble to get some photos. Only one GPW in the bunch. M38’s, M38A1’s M37’s, M151’s, assorted Heavies (Many of which I have ridden in in my career) and 1 M3 (I think; I am not a Halftrack expert). The Packard Navy Staff car was my favorite!

“1946 willys cj2a runs great, has 153 Chevy 4cyl. 3 speed manual, and whatever else the millitary used in these. It has power steering, all lights and turn signals, all converted to 12v system. Also has a full roll cage, new master cyl, brakes, and tires. Has a best top soft top and doors. No rust, I hate to sell but I need a international dump truck for my business. I would trade for a dump truck wanting a snow blade for it too. My fleet is all international if you would like to trade not interested in anything else.”
It’s got a turbocharged 350.

“Up for your consideration is my 1952 Willys M38A-1, the military jeep that inspired the civilian CJ5. I purchased this jeep in the high desert in Southern California in 2011 and had it shipped to NJ when I moved to the east coast in 2013. Aside from the military I am the third owner since the jeep sold at government auction in 1971.
The original drivetrain is still 100% operational. Engine and transmission were rebuilt in 1956 while in the service in Japan, drivetrain still has military rebuild tags with information. Continue reading
