UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price.
No title or data plates.
“I’ve got a early 50’s Willys M38 I’d like to sell. Trying to clear some room for more jeeps hah, and this one deserves a good home. Only made from 50-52 for the military with less than 45,000 ever made. Tool indents are there and that area is in good shape. It’s essentially a CJ-3A with tool indents made for the military. The tub and frame are in good shape for the most part. Has rust but very restorable or just get going like it is. Pervious owner just used on the farm. Was last driven a couple years ago, it will need to be gone through. Hood has a ridiculous scoop on it where someone at some point in this jeeps life had swapped a later model F head motor in it. But does have the L head in it now. Tires old air. Everything is there except for the windshield and seats. There are some kind of seats in there now not sure what they came from. No data plates or title. Just a bill of sale. A cool jeep that needs some love. I was going to keep it but I have another and I need space. ”
The price is right. Looks like it has some usable parts.
“Willys 134 CU (?) 4 cylinder F head engine out of 1961 FC150. Complete – not running – appears rebuildable.”
No pics provided. Send seller an email and he’ll check on part availability.
“I have willys jeep pickup, wagon, CJ2a, FC-150, CJ5 parts for sale. I have Many parts so if you are looking for any parts e-mail me and I will check my inventory. I also have pics of the parts available.”
Parts jeep.
“1947 Jeep Willys for sale, asking $500 as a parts vehicle. Tub is entirely rusted, but the frame, the engine, transmission, transfer case axles and springs are intact. Engine probably needs a rebuild, does not run, seemed locked in gear, clutch appears failed with pedal the floor.
I bought with the intention of salvaging all of the above and rebuilding and just replacing the body. Finding 47’s with mechanical this intact is a challenge.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800.
Brakes need work, but sounds like it runs.
“1957 Willys Jeep CJ6, limited production model. The CJ6 has an extended cargo area. 4 cylinder, 6 volt, 101″ wheel base, winch, roll bar, 10-15 tires with spare, temp gauge. Brakes need some work. This would be a beautiful Jeep if restored. Call or text ”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6000.
(05/16/2015) The grille and frame appear to be M-38, but the body and windshield aren’t.
“For sale is an M38 Jeep. I hate to part with it, but I can’t give it the attention and care it deserves with a new kid and an upcoming move. I’ve owned the Jeep for just under two years, and during that time I’ve spent a lot of time refurbishing the electrical system, oil pressure lines, and hand brake. Additionally, I’ve purchased new gauges, NOS tail lights, master light control switch, seat belts, and more… The motor is an aftermarket L-134 that runs GREAT! The Jeep has a clear title and is ready for a quick and easy sale. If you’re an American, have a passion for Jeeps and their history, and want a great M38… then this the perfect summer purchase for you!”
UPDATE: Was on eBay, but ad pulled.
(11/02/2014) Here’s a rare former rescue wagon.
“1958 Willy’s delivery Wagon. I’ve owned this vehicle since 1991. It had 800 miles on it when I bought it from the Warroad Mn. Fire dept. where it was used as a rescue vehicle. Not many folks to rescue I guess. It now has 21,000 miles on it. It has the original Warn winch. I had the overdrive installed shortly after I purchased it. I have much of the original literature for it. I recently had a complete new wiring harness installed. It runs great. The only thing that doesn’t work at the moment is the windshield wipers. The interior is very utilitarian”
This really is a survivor. Maine isn’t usually so kind.
“Very minor rust, very straight. Power steering leaks a bit. I have the original compass that was on the dash that still works. Interior needs to be redone. I have some of the door panels and the original headliner is still in place. Car was originally Amber metallic. I painted it an original Willys parkway green and have some paint that I will include.please ask any questions before bidding. Mileage is unknown.”
Looks in good shape.

“For sale is my 1942 GPW, serial #16501, DOD 4/8/42
Jeep is about 95% restored, 100% cosmetic restoration with a few mechanical issues to resolve. Ready for whatever final markings you decide.
I bought this jeep from a friend’s dad that purchased it from the Gov’t post war, so I guess I’m the 3rd owner, I’ve owned it since 1993. In the early 2000’s I started a restoration. In 2004 I had the transmission and transfer case rebuilt , (At that time I purchased an overdrive with PTO that I did not install that is also for sale). In 2005 (after my 4th kid was born), I took the jeep to two jeep buffs for restoration. They both live near me in Northern Ca.
