1955 Jeep CJ-5 $7,500 Lewiston, CA

Couple things going on with this one, dash is a little like an M38-A1 of sorts, but the tub almost looked fiberglass at first to me, but it looks to have the Jeep imprint on the side.

I think it is a CJ-5 Base as posted and was assembled with a few different things that is fine.

Looks like they have some work in this one. Sideways photos are never fun to see what’s going on.

Information from seller:

Up for sale is another Sweet 1955 Jeep CJ five. Has a four-cylinder engine, three speed transmission and four-wheel-drive. Budget build frame off restoration. All the running gear has been completely gone through. Many NOS parts, no top or doors. Runs and drives great. Come for a test drive today. 7500 or best offer. Clean title in my name. On no op. 1936 Willys Model 37 Sedan 4 door $17,500 Central Point, OR

Don’t post too many of these, there were some Green ones up in the NE like Maine and Massachusetts. Looks like a clean car with some items that need to be addressed. Price will be what the Buyer and Seller work out, so I feel its up there a bit with todays market for original rides. But who am I to say. It looks pretty great, and clean from the three photos, head over take a look crank it up, its 6V so not a rocket ship but I would jump in it and go for a ride with the owner if around the area to check this out.  If your interested you never know. One day I will sit down and look at how to add a few Categories, there is not a good place for this one, there are a couple items that need to be classified differently for some of the off Willys 4×4 stuff I post, like the sleeve valve stuff, I like those.

These 37’s are pre the Americar that just pull crazy money. Lots of nice examples out there so you can drive this one and enjoy it for what it is. Which is a good thing. Get in and go.

Information from seller:

6 volt all original wiring almost completely original. 1940’s Willy’s 4 cylinder with very low mileage. 3 speed transmission

1954 Jeep M-170 $9,000 Auburn, CA

M-170, lots going on, not any sort of expert here, I feel this one was posted prior. But it’s a Radio Rig they are pretty neat to come across.

Information from seller:

1954 Jeep M170 · Suv · Driven 18,500 miles Original rust free body. This has had a full mechanical rebuild, including the engine 134 hurricane just done. This is a very rare US Marine Corps Jeep, and they are hard to find with Marine tags. Most were ambulances. This was a radio jeep. New tires, new battery fuel system gone through and tank resealed . I have four or five big tubs of extra parts. I have multiple seat frames for it, including the rare passenger jump seat. It is located in Auburn, CA 95602 for $9000 I priced it to sell in the current market and firm.

1955 Jeep Willys M-170 $3,800 Merced, CA

I feel this is a M-170, so will list as such, with a very neat Hard Top. Not much detail and I typically don’t post from Sellers that have newer profiles, but the seller has a lot of items listed and marked Sold, so just do your homework. Follow the basics and check out seller, make sure they are real and able to sell the rig or better yet might be the actual owner.

Information from seller:

55 jeep, was used as medical vehicle. Runs and drives. Needs restore.

1958 Willys Maverick Wagon BAT Auction

1958 Willys Maverick Wagon BAT Auction

Bring A Trailer Auction of a great Willys Maverick, remember they did not go to the Bullet Trim to later in the run and the first 100 had the special badge, this is shown as 10033 so it should be an early one. The data plate is a little bent up IMO, there will be other areas to confirm the Serial Number on the rig, buyers are always urged to do your best due diligence.

Has the special badge for the approximate first 100 Mavericks.

Mavericks are pretty neat rigs, 2WD, F-134, Special Trim around the cowl and windows, carpet inside vs the wood slats, special treatments.

I did not read the whole ad, but its missing the Radio, maybe it’s included.

Missing the 67 year old Captive Air Goodyears, but I guess we can give them a pass on those, they had a special inner liner like a run flat, pretty neat stuff for 1958.

Very nicey done, to a high standard.

OD and the sort, just all around hope it does well for the seller.

To be fair it will need some small cleanup and to pick on it a bit, why not, the white walls are not super white, there are some areas under neath that need to be touched up, good projects to really make it your own and become the next care taker of this one.

Good Luck with the sale!

Information from seller:

This 1958 Willys Jeep is a Maverick Special station wagon that was acquired by the seller’s father-in-law in 1998. Refurbishment work was subsequently performed, and the wagon is finished in two-tone green over a coordinated interior. Power is provided by a 134ci Hurricane inline-four that is linked to a column-shifted three-speed manual transmission. Features include 15″ painted wheels, chrome bumpers, a split rear tailgate, and a one-piece windshield in addition to split bench seats, sliding side windows, and a spare tire mounted in the rear cargo area. This Maverick Special is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner wth a clean California title describing the vehicle as a 1959 model year.

Auction Links and More 12-3-2025

“Andy’s Picks”

Here are some great links, I cant harvest all these photos they typically are in what’s formatted as WEBP and the are wonderful space saving files that don’t work with the site. To crop and save, or even use Photoshop mass change to a useable format. But I have looked over these and there is some great stuff here.

My notes if any will be in Italics followed by Andy’s info from his email to me.

Bangor, PA CJ parts rig off the road 100yd, Currently @ $1 ends > 12/7/2025

Good size estate Auction, I live not too far from here on the NJ side, we just got 4” of fresh snow, so this will be some work, but there is an Overdrive and some other parts here for sure. I have no space we are in Winter mode here and the place is cleaned up and things put away for the Winter. But someone will be getting a deal here and can make a few Willys Bucks on this one, even with a 23% Buyers Fee.

I spy at least $1 worth of parts under this CJ

SOLD ON EBAY

Someone got a good deal, these W grills are around the NE and I have seen a few of them. They are pretty neat period add-ons. Was a good buy IMO.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/227077630649

Pickup with the W-O grille guard. I know I’ve seen that item in the approved add-on brochures, but have only seen one other truck on the net with it.

This is an extreme Easter Egg Hunt on this one, I actually stopped at 289, its very broken up in a bunch of lots!
But don’t overlook this Auction, there is a ton of parts here for an Early Truck, the stakebed side are legit Willys. Early 2 pc front seat, might be parts of a second one there. The V6 is awesome, this would be a great package if you can score all the parts and pieces, its just so broken up because its all over the floor.
Andy did a lot of the leg work, but there honestly is probably more of the rig in other containers on the floor.
Here is a basketcase early stakebed pickup with a Buick V6 and front pto winch on HiBid:
At least lot numbers:
118, 152, 257, 289, 290, 344, 346, 350, 351, 354, 355, 356, 357, 358, 364, 365, 366, 367, 370, 373, 374, 375, 376, 378, 379, 395, 396, 705, 759, 762
