Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Doug spotted this solid looking restorable MB/GPW. It appears to have combat rims, too. It is listed as a 1946 Military Jeep.

“VERY NICE WILLYS JEEP CJ3B WITH 52200 MILES ORIG.ARIZONA/NEVADA JEEP SOLID,NO APPRECIABLE RUST. 3SPD, HIGH/LOW RANGE TRANSFER CASE 4WD. I’VE HAD IT A LONG TIME AND IT’S A GREAT JEEP BUT IT NEVER GETS USED ANYMORE. ORIG. WHEELS COME WITH IT ALONG WITH MANY SPARE PARTS. RIGHT NOW IT NEEDS VERY LITTLE WORK. THE HEATER IS OUT AND NEEDS TO BE CLEANED UP AND REINSTALLED PLUS I HAVE A SPARE. THE BRAKES NEED TO BE BLED BECAUSE I JUST REPLACED A BAD WHEEL CYLINDER AND ALSO HAVE A KIT FOR THE MASTER CYLINDER. RUNS GREAT BUT THE TIMING HAS TO BE SET BECAUSE I WAS SETTING IT BY EAR AND TURNED THE DISTRIBUTOR TOO FAR NOW I CAN’T START IT. NOTHING NEEDS TO BE REBUILT. WITH SOME MINOR WORK YOU HAVE A GREAT OLD JEEP. I JUST DON’T HAVE THE TIME TO WORK ON IT.”
