Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Ok, the jeep looks great and might just be worth the asking price. But, a full restoration (and I won’t even go there) was completed and it appeared in a magazine, yet the seller still thinks it is a 1952. I can only shake my head.

“Classic CJ5 (1967 – no emissions required)
Original 4 cylinder motor runs great, brakes work great, heater, wipers, 4×4, lights… all work fine.
Factory hard top (removable) rare roll up windows (also working fine). All door locks work.
Original seats. Need to be recovered, but rare to find the fold forward bench up front and original bench in the back.
Some surface rust here and there, but no serious rot. Just an all around solid jeep with excellent restoration potential, but ready to drive/off-road anywhere today.

This jeep was a daily driver for my brother. He began working out of town and it has sat for the last three years. It runs excellent but the carburator is flooding out.”

The things that make take it away from being original is it has chrome wheels, a 2 inch lift, gas tank move to the back (rather than under the seat) it also has a chevy 283 in it (all the rest from what I can tell is stock or original. It also has high back seats. The floor has been diamond plated and rhino lined. it also has roll bar in the back.
Title is clean and in my name.
$3500 Cash OBO or will trade part for hunting or guy stuff. not too sure i want another car or truck as i have very limited room in my driveway 😉
