Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Nick reports he took this Scout for a spin. He says that he “drove it for a grassy spin and it acts just like a ’67 Scout should! … It is very stock with original engine, etc.” .
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2000.
This is a little rough. I can’t tell where the gas filler is.
“1947 Willys Jeep, F- head engine. Engine runs great, has new carburetor but needs to be tuned. Needs new master break cylinder. Great for off roading, hunting or whatever you desire. $2,000”

Doesn’t run at the moment (battery dead).

(06/27/2010) It looks like the driver’s side of the body has been patched.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was Auctioned.
There are a couple interesting issues with this CJ-3B. First, note the unusual windshield, which almost appears chopped down. Second, note the fenders; These just don’t look quite right. I’m even wondering if they are plywood?
The image below does provide a pretty good shot of that left front frame rail and it looks pretty clean, suggesting the frame is in really good shape. The body also looks pretty straight, which adds to my confusion about the fenders.
As part of the ongoing series on jeeps tipped on their sides for repair, a reader named Warren reports that the first episode, season 1, 14:51 minutes into the show of the Rat Patrol features a brief view of one of the characters working on a Jeep on its side. I don’t have a copy of the video, but here is a snapshot courtesy of Warren.
Of all the things I’ve seen done to a jeep, I can’t say I have ever seen a jeep dressed with astroturf (or carpet of any kind). For the record, this is an All Wheel Drive Russian Niva. See all the pics on here:

This has a fiberglass body and a variety of updates.

I’m not sure how rare these are in Canada, but I suspect they are as rare there as they are in the U.S.
