This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. (11/17/09) This seems like a good price given the condition of the body and the lockers. Hmm … there aren’t any seats that I can see. I wonder if this is a more of a project.

“I have a 1948 jeep willys for sale it has a buick 3.2 liter v6 with the original 3 speed transmission. it has a new besttop cover along with new chrome wheels and tires have very few miles on them. I haven’t seen too many Coast Guard Willys Pics. According to the Library of Congress, here’s one from April 1943.
The Library of Congress’ caption to this photo is: Coast Guard anti-saboteur patrol. Vital cargoes of war supplies for America’s far-flung battle lines must also be protected on the docks and piers from enemy attempts at sabotage. The Coast Guard now uses jeeps with armed Coast Guardsmen maintaining vigilant waterfront patrols.

This was for sale as late as Sept 5, 2009 for $35,000.
“This is Red Skelton’s personal Surrey. With 14,000 original miles, it has just completed a body-off frame restoration. There is much memorabilia that goes with this Surrey and photo documentation of the restoration and Red’s journey.
This darling little Surrey was previously owned by the legendary comedian Red Skelton. Most of us can relate to one of his characters like Freddie the Freeloader or Clem Kadiddlehopper, for in each of his characters was a bit of each of us. Red Skelton’s Willys DJ-3A Surrey Gala has just completed a meticulous 10-year, body-off frame, complete nut and bolt restoration. The finished product is beyond stunning. Included with the sale of this Surrey are many pieces of Red Skelton memorabilia, like the Freddie the Freeloader vest used during the Red Skelton Hour on CBS TV during the 1960’s, with certificate of authenticity. Red was also quite an artist and included are three Red Skelton prints, the “Girl Clown”, “Floral Bouquet” and “Old Glory”. There is also a limited edition “Clown with Candy Cane” painting with certificate of authenticity. Also included is a 13-page binder of photographs documenting the entire Surrey restoration. The binder chronicles the life and times of Red Skelton’s comedy career. There are many fun stories and photos that invite you into the humorous life of Red Skelton. There are copies of Red Skelton’s California titles and a note from Red’s widow, Lothian Skelton, describing the Surrey and how much Red loved it. All of this goes with the sale of the Surrey.”
This is a veteran of the Kansas National Guard.
“This is a 1952 M-38 1/4 Ton Military Vehicle. Make Willy’s. Served in the Kansas Army National Guard. I have owned this “Jeep” for alot of years. It has a clear Kansas highway title. Runs and drives great. Over the years replaced alot of parts, New windshield,five tires and tubes, and painted rims,rear tail lights,several of the dash guages, miscelanious engine parts,reapholestered all seat covers,installed seatbelts, it curently has a civilian top. I know it’s not a 4wd vehicle, but it sure is one of the odder VWs I’ve ever seen.

This jeep looks like it’s parked in a farm shed. It’s hard to tell whether this is running or not. I can see some rust. It might make a good restoration project.
