(12/11/2013) The title is from Colorado.
“Check it out! This is a titled 1946 CJ2A SN#14264. Body in fair condition but will need some patching. This is a Colorado CJ, the steel is bent in places but hardly any rust – this is solid steel. The body is complete – tub, fenders, grill, hood, and windshield. Wheels, axles, steering intact, this thing rolls and steers. A previous owner added the rollbar and aftermarket seats, but this could be returned to original or customized. Has original motor and transmission. Vehicle started when I got it in January 2013.
I bought this vehicle for my own restoration but my project is headed in a different direction now. This is a great find for a restoration – why buy a flimsy repli-tub for $3500 when you can have a solid original for less?
Vehicle has a clear Colorado title.
Buyer must pick up. No delivery. Reasonable offers considered. Serious offers only. Reply to this post with a good e-mail address and phone number. I will send photos to serious buyers.”

Sean is correct (see comment below). It appears the column shift was not original (as I first thought), especially given the hole in the transmission cover for a standard tranny tower (which I missed). I’d suggest examining it closely before buying.
“1946 column shifter. Runs and looks great. Must see to appreciate. Current registration. Street legal. Moving so must sell.”
