This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1947 Willys jeep vintage plow truck with plow. There’s no pump for the plow it’s chained in the up position. Motor turns over missing carb and needs a fuel system otherwise looks complete. CJ-5 body melded to a flattie front. List as a 1942, I don’t see anything here that suggests ’42. It might have Husky or Allstate hubs.

(08/15/2018) This appears to have a CJ-5 hardtop, hence the reason it fits oddly at the windshield.
“Nice running and fully operational 1951 Willy’s CJ5. Has a manual winch on the front that operates like a comealong ratchet. Has some type of custom rack system for carrying boards, or long pipes ETC. Hard top and rear bench seat. Equipped with an external rear box for carrying tools or luggage ETC. This is a perfect Jeep for restoration or getting back to your back 40 in old school style to stretch the fence lines! It starts up and stays running on the first try.”
Not a bad price, as there is value here in parts, but still a project.

This is an interesting build. I thought it might be a DJ delivery body, but it does appear to be a 3A body. I’d say those front fenders are custom. The front frame rails have been extended.

(01/27/2017) Looks fun. A stretched, custom sand toy. Interesting cage design. That middle loops leans way back.
“1953 Jeep Willys CJ3 Jeep was built for Silverlake and has been stretched 14″ to accommodate room for rear seats and fuel cell. 355 SBC, steel crank, dome pistons, 3500 stall converter, fresh rebuild on t400 trans, J20 rear end, built 455 rear gear. custom cage, 5 point harnesses front and back. Griffen Fab Works built custom suspension that include deaver springs, fox shocks, over 5k invested. Works extremely well in the sand and can eat up most everything Silverlake has to offer. Great opportunity to get into a smooth, safe, and fun ride at Silverlake. ”
