This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “1950s jeep willys. This is an old barn find jeep (I believe it’s a cja2 could be totally wrong) my uncle has had it many years. It’s definitely a project. But with some love could make a fun toy. It does have the pto on the back. He doesn’t have the title to it. So you would have to do some paper work to get one”
Bill spotted this refurbed jeep listed as a 1948 CJ-3A. It looks in good shape for the price. The engine has a 3A/M-38/DJ-3A oil filter holder, so either the year or the model is incorrect.

This is a mix of parts, including a DJ-3A body, a CJ-2A windshield and an M-38 grille. The chassis might be DJ-3A as well.

Listed as a 3B, this looks to be a CJ-3A with some mods. This is likely still a project.
“It’s a 1950 Willy’s . Has a hurricane motor in it . Changed to electronic distributor , has 12 volt battery . Needs the new alternator for 12volt. Needs new driver side door plan welded in . Motor runs . Front and rear diffs are welded . Carb has been rebuilt. New water pump , new coil , fully gone through brakes.”
This has a 49 Mercury engine.

“1953 Jeep Willys CJ3A. Complete, as in all parts are here. Engine in jeep had a knock and is partially disassembled. Comes with inspected and tested replacement. We bought it as a project but others have since taken precedence. It’s a 70 year old Jeep and has sat for quite some time. It’s not perfect but would be a great restoration project. Have title. Some extra parts included. If you actually read this entire ad and are into flat fenders, we have 2 others that could be had as a package deal, but this one must sell first.”
