Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This jeep was a us Navy CJ3A JEEP used for towing aircraft around on base and aboard aircraft carriers. It has 65,000 miles and the paint isn’t great but the body only has a couple of small rust spots in the floor. The engine and transmission have had a recent rebuild. It runs and drives like new. It has a clean NJ title. It needs someone who will do the body work, paint it Navy gray and appreciate a classic military jeep. This one only requires minor body work and a Gray coat of paint.”

“L134 engine cranks but I never hooked up the new gas tank. 12v conversion, New starter, battery, fuel pump, spark plugs, wires, distributor, carb, fuel tank, as well as a bunch of other misc parts. Has a variety of mods. Only one pic posted. It may have a fiberglass body. The fenders are fiberglass.

The body might be worth the price. It’s listed as a 1944 MB, but it’s got a Civvy frame and fiberglass body.

This seller may also have the red one listed from Spanish Fork. The seller thinks this is a 2A, but I’d say it is more likely a 3A.

“Old Jeep Willys flat fender project. I believe she’s a 2-A but someone here probably knows more. Body panels are in good shape. She definitely needs someone to love her. A fantastic project car, or would be a sweet bar or decoration in a man cave or bar. I. Included a picture of the bar I built in my shop. I’ve got 2 of these and would work a deal on both of them. This appears to have a DJ-3A body, though a filler has been added to the driver’s side. It does not appear to have a DJ-3A frame (it’s missing the parking brake cable mounts on the underside of the frame).
