Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “50 Willies flat fender. Has Cherokee fuel tank, brake pedal assembly, master cylinder and power steering box. Leaf springs all 4 corners with full size 1/2ton Chevy running gear. Warn hubs. Great project!! $1200 with axles. Will consider trades as well.”

James is regretfully selling his CJ-3A. The jeep was extensively rebuilt by Sam from Flatfender Willys (now in Chino Valley) and Sam says he’ll be happy to answer any questions it should the new owner have any. If you are looking for a nearly stock jeep that really is turn key, this is a great option.

“1949 Willys CJ-3a Jeep for sale. This is a project. No engine, transmission, transfer case. or hood. Has fenders, grill, and windshield. Needs lots of work or part out. Tub is rusty but I’ve seen much worse get fixed. Have title and matching vin tag. Might be a good rockcrawler project, Jeep rat rod, fix up and putt around, or?”
I wonder if that’s the real price or just intended to scare most folks away.
