Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. The only thing that I believe that is missing are the front seats. Extra parts include axels, a transmission and transfer case, windshield frame and front hood. There is also a set of vintage dualmatic locking hubs”

(03/13/2013) The seller calls this jeep a “Willys T”; can’t say I’m familiar with that model. It runs and may be worth a look.
“1957 Willys T Jeep, fair condition, 4X4, A2000 Warn Wench Included. Vehicle comes AS IS with NO WARRANTY. 4 cylinder motor runs great. Has been repainted BLACK with WHITE letter outlines for type of Jeep.”

Check out the paint job on this jeep. Also, the windshield glas is extra tall. I think this might have been a very nice jeep at some point.
“Runs and drives, 4wheel drive woks fine, Hurricane 4cyl engine. Hood and passenger seat not pictured but I do have them. Passenger seat needs to be redone. Its a great starting point for a great rig. I thought I’d have time for it but I don’t”
UPDATE: **SOLD** … was priced at $1800. The story is told below:
Joe wrote, “I think it’s accurate to say that everything is there, minus the tub and tires… even the floor pan, tailgate, and wheels are there. Unfortunately, the gauges got wet while being stored by police (outside) as evidence. He says it was originally a Fire Jeep, for patrolling, but seldom used… which would explain the lack of rust on all the now-detached parts (hood, fenders, gas tank, etc.).
They caught the “tweeker”, who disassembled this jeep in an apparent drug-induced frenzy. He wasn’t even selling it… just tore it apart: pried off the floor pan; took off the body (now missing); and removed the tires from rims (tires are missing). Talk about a random act of destruction. Just SAD.
The AD:
“My beautiful 1950 CJ3A had 19000 original miles before the tweeker stole it and tore it apart. now I have the frame, engine, transmision, transfer case, axles, wheels, roll bar, hood, grill, tail gate, all in pieces. He cut the pan off with a air chisle. Didn’t damage the frame but tore the pan all to h$@#. I have it all loaded on a trailer, would like to sell as a lot but may be open to parting out. She was beautiful now she is parts and it breaks my heart to look at her.”

I think the outside of this is rhino-lined.
“53 Willys Jeep, fresh rebuid on Buick V-6, runs great, power steering tilt wheel, full cage rollbar,custom seats, custom bumpers, 9500 Lb winch like new, 33″ tires like new, Rhino lined, new brakes, 2 jeep gas cans mounted in back, removable back seat, windshield folds down when you are in the mountains.”

Dan forwarded this great find. Looks like there is plenty of value even if it doesn’t run. Given the quick nature of the sale, I’d double check the title.

This jeep has the rear PTO. It looks good.
“One of a king Jeep Willys. Simply the best Jeep on the market! Total restoration beginning in 2003. I have records of all repairs and purchased parts. Fun to drive. Around 4000 miles on origional engine restoration. Very rare correct back seat, PTO, etc. Too many repairs to list. Vehicle sold “as is”. It is awesome! Only serious buyers. Buyers must pay by bank check and buyers are responsible for all fees for delivery. “

This appears solid and includes the hunting platform.
“1952 CJ-3A, Superb condition. Engine rebuilt with approx 2,700 miles. Transmission rebuilt with approx 1,500 miles. Runs and drives well. Transitions into 4WD smoothly both in high and low range. Aluminum hunting bow on front and electric feeder on back. Both have quick removal receivers. Clear Texas title. Current State inspection and registration. Pics added shortly.”
