Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. This rig is SOLID and ready to putt around in the woods. It is lots of fun to drive in the summer with the top off.
Runs and drives great and is a real head turner.
Selling as I don’t hunt with it any more and it just sits in the shop. Lots of time and money has been put into this jeep and I know what I need to get out of it.

Needs new clutch.
“Flatfender Jeep. Starts easily and runs great. Needs clutch replacement but tranny, transfer case, and axles all work great. New Yellow Top Optima battery, Pertronix electronic ignition and coil, water pump, master cylinder, fuel pump, seat cousions and covers, and fuel tank. Has larger 11-inch brakes on the front. BFG 31 inch tires on 15×8 Jackman wheels. Fresh oil in every gearbox. Has some rust but still totally drivable. Current registration.”

Needs work. Somewhere under that blue lurks a MB/GPW with a good body. The rear axles appear original, too.
“1951 Jeep CJ3A. I used this jeep at the hunting lease this year. The only thing I have done to it was have the fuel system gone through. I put a new electric fuel pump on it, and new filters. 4×4 works, tires are in great shape and the body is straight. I had planned to restore this after hunting season, but I just don’t have the time. I am asking $4000.00 obo for it. Feel free to contact me for a few more pics or to see it.”
